This was purchased to use on my Pride GoGo Sport mobility scooter and it's been tested in both rain and hot sunshine. Yes, it's a tiny bit awkward clamped onto the side of the scooter, but that minor inconvenience is completely worth it. It's easy to clamp on and adjust. So far, the clamps and hinges for adjustment are holding well. I was not always on smooth surfaces, and everything held in place even going over bumpy fields. The umbrella is very sturdy and provides solid shading from the hot sun. I got this because I’m a first time mom and it was raining throughout the week. This was a great purchase! It was so easy to set up and the perfect size to cover the stroller and myself. It folds nicely and looks/feels very sturdy.

    • Just what I wanted
This is a very nice quality umbrella. I purchased the larger size in silver, and it really blocks the sun's rays. It's adjustable in multiple ways and works great. I used it last year and I'm starting to use it again this year and it has held up very nicely.

Originally purchased to clamp to lawn chairs as sun shields. When I finally found a chair that the clamp would actually grab on to, the empty chair tipped over as soon as the extended open umbrella caught a gust of wind! However, this is the BEST umbrella I've ever owned. It's large, well constructed, stable, it's super easy to open and close and it's BIG! The well made spine design holds the umbrella taut and doesn't allow the fabric to turn itself inside out in heavy wind and rain. The handle is tall when fully extended but easily compacts when not in use. There's also a wrist strap that comes in handy for carrying. The outside is totally waterproof as is the heavy inside dark lining which is a nice feature. LOVE the UMBRELLA but the clamp is totally useless! ... show more

I’m using this for plein air painting, so I attach it to my easel for shade. It’s easily transportable and compact so I can slip it into the side pocket of my backpack, which is very convenient, and it’s not heavy. The quality of the umbrella is great and it has a vent flap on top which helps (when breezy) in not taking down my easel. What I’m not crazy about is that it can be hard to get the arm attachments tight. The turn screws slip a bit when trying to tighten, so it can be difficult to get the metal arms to stay in position. Also, there are several connections on the arms to tighten, which makes it very adjustable, but can be tedious. The connection/grip to the easel is good.
