Bought it at the beginning of 2020. Pushed it to the limits of what a laptop is meant for. I drained this sucker dry and got my moneys worth. SPECS: Only thing I wish I had more of is 32gb ram and a i9 at minimum. 3D artwork (blender, Unreal 5) and real-time audio-visual work TouchDesigner) need more power but the portability was a priority so this was fine. PORTS: The Ports are great. Having thunderbolt and usb-c built in is a great convenience. You can never have too many usb ports either so 3 was okay. SCREEN: 16:10 aspect ratio screens are underrated. The extra room you get is awesome. Also, at 17”, you can’t go wrong. The 180° screen swivel is sick. TRACKPAD: The light up touchpad numpad is cool but not necessary. A physical numpad would’ve been better. I hate the feeling of the trackpad. Compared to a MacBook trackpad, it’s hot garbage. FINGERPRINT: One of the most convenient features. I love it. Works like a charm. TEMPERATURE: The laptop gets very hot (205°F) though It might be time for a de-dust after 4 years lol. Make sure you have some external cooling at hand if you can so you don’t burn yourself. SOUND: Oh yeah and the speaker position sucks. It plays underneath the device, so it gets covered up a lot. EVERYDAY USE: The laptop is heavy so lugging it around over the years is definitely something I dislike but it’s packing a lot in it so I can’t complain too much. ERRORS: After 4 years there are rare screen glitches which I don’t understand what causes them. BATTERY: My battery health is shot down to the point of only holding charge for about an hour but this is my fault due to leaving it on all the time and I would also let it run overnight when rendering and stuff so there’s that. I also rarely actually turn the device off, I mainly just hibernate it. Only had a blue screen like 5 times over the entirety of using it. What surprises me is it still takes very little time to start up. Like max 15-20 sec. Overall great build. Worth it. It Take care of your tools and they’ll take care of you.     • Not worth the price for relatively older spec'd hardware
Despite having nearly the comparatively same specs as a Razer Blade 15 Adv from 2019, it still costs as much as one? Three years later? And has way more GPU problems. The Quadro RTX 3000 Max-Q has given me more issues with a GPU than I've ever experienced before, and I'll chalk it up to the low video memory. I had a Razer Blade 15 Adv (2019) that had a 2070 Max-Q 8gb, and that thing never had any issues with Blender renders, CAD drafting, Photoshop ALL open at the same time most times--but with this ASUS, both Vectorworks and Photoshop were regularly failing to recognize the GPU, and a Blender file that I had no issue rendering 4k sized stills with, this thing would just run out of video memory. The CPU though always seemed snappy, despite being comparatively older and lower spec'd on paper, somehow it was opening files more quickly (it seemed.) ... show more

    • ASUS = Horrible Customer Service
My ASUS 700G3T replaces an older ASUS laptop that I had for years, so I ordered this expecting a certain level of quality, and especially so when spending 3000$ on a laptop. So far the computer seems fine, but the power adapter is poor quality. It comes in two pieces, as many of them do, where you a plug the cord end into the charging block. There's about 1 mm of play in that connection, and I have only to move the adapter to lose connection between the two pieces, even though to the eye they look connected. You don't even notice it until you see the battery is running down, though you're plugged in. I called ASUS, and they simply will not send out a replacement adapter for my 3 day old $3000 laptop. They refer me to the seller on Amazon, though if I prefer they will issue an RMA for me to send the adapter in for repair and/or replacement, and wait. They simply can't send out a replacement adapter, they just can't. What a joke. ... show more

I've purchased a PC from Asus before, and they make good products, but their tech support sucks. This PC had battery issues within the first two months. 1 hr of life for a full charge. Asus needed me to send the whole PC in for repair - about 2 weeks. this is my work computer and cannot happen. Looks like i will need to buy a replacement battery... so much for a warranty. The PC is very very good. I'd just suggest avoiding the Asus brand altogether. ... show more

Do not use special characters i.e. !@#$%^&* in your password when/if you lock your bios, you will no longer be able to access the bios since those characters aren't accepted as valid inputs when you go to unlock the computer. I have gone through the process of returning the item and ordering a replacement. I will update this review and star rating once I am able to fully test the machine for more than one day. ... show more

    • Price does not always secure quality
I returned the product as it had defects at delivery. I gave 2 stars as it looks good at paper, but clearly company has quite bad quality control. Defect was visible since first start. I would have accept that kind of thing for laptop around 1000$ but not for equipment value nearby 9000$
