The helmet is DEFINITELY not DOT approved, but I already knew this because I understand that I get what I pay for…and at the cost of this helmet, I knew it wasn’t before I bought it. The upside is, it fits. I wear a 7 5/8ths hat and the XXL fits really well. I bought and aftermarket LA logo and stuck on there and got the look that I wanted. I live in a small town with light traffic and this helmet is definitely not a good idea for heavy traffic or highway road trips, because again, IT IS NOT DOT approved, despite what it says. It looks cool, but this is not a safe bet. Oh yeah, the shipping was really fast, the neck gator is “okay” but the glasses are mediocre. Overall I’m pretty happy with what I got, considering what I paid for it. ... show more
