Very happy with the size, portability, battery life and keyboard. Speed and boot times are excellent. I forget to plug it in, forget to charge it, forget to turn it off-- never matters. I just pull it out and it's ready to rock. The screen would probably look bad if I compared it to a MacBook, but it's not something I've ever noticed during routine use. It's just a really solid, portable and well priced device. Definitely recommend! Minor Note 1: I'm only using my laptop to write on-- not connecting to the Internet, not watching Youtube. If you bring up media-rich websites, your mileage may vary. Minor Note 2: The default setting is Windows S mode, which means it starts off totally locked down and you cannot install new software. You can change that easily through the Windows Store (for free), but doing so meant connecting to wi-fi and downloading a ton of Microsoft security updates. Took almost an hour. Got this as a replacement for my fathers Chromebook. As much as he loved the size and weight of that computer, he could never move himself away from Microsoft, especially since all his previous work had been done in office. This little notebook is the perfect solution. Had to convert Win 10 S to Win 10 (easily done via googling a few key words) and remove the standard Win 10 bloatware. The SSD is tiny and only really suitable for the OS space. Once office was installed, that left just over 3GBs of free space. I installed a 128GB micro SD card and directed the OS to save files here as default as well as any apps my father decided to install in the future. Even with the office install, the PC starts up super fast from a cold boot. I now have the prefect small, lightweight Win10 PC with MS office. Perfect for basic browsing, vid streaming, IP calls and viewing/editing office docs. Great value for money if one takes the time to setup properly. ... show more

    • Beware !! Great computer, but the operating system....
I love Asus. My all-day every day computer is a 17 inch Asus laptop. Looking for a tiny, very light weight computer for myself and my husband for travel, found this 11.7", 2.2 # computer. Compared all the small, light-weight computers. Realized we DID NOT want Windows 10 S. This computer was advertised as Win 10. Discovered this computer has Win10 S. What that means is you CANNOT download any program not from the the Microsoft Store. We had to have our IT guy come in to fix the problem. It is fixable, but a pain. Now we are operating Win 10, so it is now acting like a normal computer. I can't rate the battery life yet, but it seems to be excellent. My 17" Asus has very good battery life. ... show more

    • Not nearly enough storage
I love that it is lightweight, small, and perfect for travel. I am a Windows user so having Office preinstalled was a plus. I put everything in the cloud and I didn't download any other apps except Zoom. I am a teacher and all I wanted was something to use for school. The downside is I can't use it for my classes because it doesn't have enough storage to support Zoom. Whenever I am on Zoom, even with all tabs closed and the browser history cleared, Zoom keeps crashing. It is not a Zoom problem because this never happens when I am on my desktop computer sitting at the same desk, using the same internet connection as this Asus computer.     • Great for the price!
First I have to say that I am very impressed with this laptop. I opted for the Asus 11.6 with 4gb of ram and 32gb of Storage. At first I was very hesitant as I saw a few reviews explaining that storage on this machine would run out with all the windows update, so I'll share my experience with the laptop. Screen: Very good for the price range. The screen can get super bright, brighter than my 2015 Macbook. The resolution is at 720 but looks crisp since the screen is only 11.6 inches. Power/Processor: Definitely not the strongest processor, however, for what I use it for (Microsoft Word, Youtube, etc), it works well. Actually, it works even better now, after I switched from WIndows 10 Home S Mode to regular Windows 10 Home which is offered for free in the Microsoft Store after updating. Chrome is very fast compared to the Microsoft Edge Browser. Some pages take a few more seconds to load but I wasn't expecting it to be as sharp as it is for an Intel Celeron processer, but it works great for Word and Chrome. I would not recommend using this for photo or video editing or games, just casual use and word processing. Battery: Lasts up to 11 hours and I love it!! I don't have to worry about taking my charger everywhere with me. Weight/Build Quality: Super light weight and easy to carry around since it's smaller than the average laptop. The laptop also feels very well built. Storage: After upgrading to a newer version of Windows, I used Disk Clean Up and was able to clear up a lot of space. Right now Windows takes up 11.1 gb and I have enough memory left for my apps and another update when necessary. I also bought a micro SD to store my files so that I won't use up the hard drive. All in all, the 32gb works for me just fine. Keyboard/Toouchpad: Keyboard is full size and is a joy to type on. The trackpad is also good but I have noticed it slows down when loading a video on youtube. Not a huge issue but I thought it's worth noting. Wifi: Very strong connection All in all: I highly recommend this laptop if you are on a budget and looking for a machine for school or office work.
