I bought this to go along with a computer I bought just to be safe. The pc ended up being a dud. Complete trash. Couple days arguing with the tech support ended with sending back pc with full refund for pc. This didn't have a option for refund but 10 seconds on the line with tech support one Email sent and in under 8 hours full refund issued with no hassle. If.. big if I ever buy some electronic device on Amazon I will definitely get this to go with it. ... show more

so, in the product page it talks about how you can call in 24/7 which was great except that when I tried to file a claim I went online to the website since that is what they say is the fastest way to file, and the website said to call in, so following their instructions I called the number provided, then had to wait for 2+ hours because they were CLOSED so what exactly does 24/7 mean to you guys? anyway after calling in to customer service, they asked me my name, the invoice number and exactly what happened, after I provided that information they transferred me to tech support who asked me for my name, the invoice number and exactly what happened... no additional questions there was absolutely zero difference between my conversation with customer service and 'tech' support. After all that fun and yes... get ready for this... tech support transferred me BACK to customer service, who asked me for... ready for it yet? my name, the invoice number and exactly what happened... after I explained it the 3rd time they then decided that they would move forward with the claim... gee wiz that is so nice of them... but that means I now get to wait 3-5 business days for them to send me a box, I have to pack up the computer myself... oh did I mention that I am physically disabled and this is going to be nearly impossible for me? well they don't care... anyway after I send them the computer via UPS ground so figure a good week to get there... they will then look over the computer for 3-10 business days and decide if they can fix it, replace it, or just refund the original purchase price. that is assuming of course they do not try to blame me for it not working and just deny the claim... which knowing Asurion would not surprise me one bit... will update later, but I have to go to the BBB next on this one. - UPDATE ok so I know this may sound crazy but it is now 4 MONTHS LATER that is right MONTHS Asurion has now decided that they cannot fix the computer and will mail me a refund.... sometime in the next 10 days (we will see if they actually do that at least) I have no idea what they have been doing for the last 4 months but I will never do business with this joke of a company again. UPADATE TO THE UPDATE: so even more lies and fraud, I did get the check but they shorted me by over $200... I would say what I think of this company but Amazon would ban my account for using such language. ... show more

  • Great company with disassociation of what products being warranty.
Asurion Warranty is a great company minus one star. Asurion Warranty via email disassociates the item one purchases on Amazon with a different order number without a description of what was purchased on Amazon. The real problem gets worse when Amazon support has to look up orders to see if their is a matching warranty, if they can find the Asurion Warranty information, to verify the item purchased is insured or not. This is very time consuming for Amazon support and makes all Asurion Warranties akin to "a bait and switch operation" by not linking the different Asurion Warranty order number to the Amazon item purchased order number. The entirely different order number used by Asurion Warranty without description or relation to anything purchased on Amazon is catastophic for the consumer and makes Amazon reputation a party to a possible "theft of service" operation if the warranty paid for in good faith can't be found. This raises false flags in the terms and conditions and responsibility to the consumer on a national level. This pattern and practice is one sided and not in the interest the consumer or people with disabilities. ... show more

I’ve never purchased extended warranties before for anything. After reading reviews on the pc I purchased I wasn’t completely confident with its longevity. It went south just before the factory warranty expired but they were no help. Asurion came through for me.

  • For my Mac Pro (Late 2013)
They give me a warranty for three years on my refurbished Mac Pro which has 64GB of Ram and two video cards and a 1TB Solid State drive. Runs like a clock. Hopefully will not need to use it. The warranty that is.
