  • Service was nice except..... overall very satisfied.
My one year old high-end MSI gaming laptop had developed a screen freezing issue. Also sometimes the system would reboot and go to the bios without prompting. When I reached the MSI support, they said that the warranty period was over. Luckily I has purchased the Asurion Warranty. The service was pretty good and fast. The only goof up they did was, instead of replacing my 2 TB SSD hard drive with a similar one, they replaced with a 1 TB. I sent the laptop back to them. And they replaced with a 2 TB SSD. Also they installed a vanilla Windows OS. The shipping was free of cost both the times. Overall I am very satisfied with their service.   • Absolutely Worthless
I have never had a worse experience with a company or their service more than Asurion. I bought my laptop through Amazon back in April of 2020. I had saved up for some time and bought a really nice upgraded model that had everything I liked/wanted. I spent a couple thousand and figured I should buy Asurion's 2 year extended warranty/tech support as the laptop only came with a 1 year warranty from the seller. Fast forward a little over 1 year and sure enough the laptop stopped turning on. I contact Asurion and tell them I need to file a claim. They asked a few questions, provided shipping materials, and asked me to return the device to them for inspection. This was the only positive experience I could say I had with Asurion. Several weeks later I recieved an email stating my device was damaged, deemed unrepairable, and I was asked to select a replacement device from 3 they had pre-selected. There was no mention to what exactly was wrong with my device. This is where it started to go bad. I was hesitant at first, as I really wanted my laptop, but decided I would take the easy route and choose from the 3 it stated in the email. I get to the website and there are only 2 options available to select from. Neither were the same model or even from the same maker. Both had a lower retail price, one more than the other. I tried to select the more expensive (slighly better) model but it was "unavailable". This left me with the cheapest option meaning I would have to sacrifice value and performance. I was not happy as I felt I had been misled about this "extended warranty". I asked for them to return my device so I could attempt to have it privately repaired or so that I could seek some form of refund. This is where it gets worse. There customer support attempted to reach me several times over the phone. Unfortunately their business hours conflict with my work hours. I do not have cell service at my job site so I am completely unable to take calls. I communicated to them that email would be the best form of communication due to these issues. Asurion has now had my laptop for almost 3 months. It has been 2 since they deemed my device "unrepairable". I have been given the ring around for the entirety of those 2 months. I have been in communication with at least 3 or 4 different representatives. They have danced around the subject about returning my laptop and the conversations always lead back to having me choose from their poor pre-selection. Most recently I have been left without reply for nearly 2 weeks. With the way things are going it seems I will be forced to select an option they provide or be out the couple grand I spent on the laptop and warranty. It feels like I bought a brand new Mercedes and was offered a crappy 95' Honda when the Mercedes broke down. I wouldn't wish this customer support on my worst enemies. ... show more

  • Fast and helpful response.
I dropped my lenovo legion and knocked off a chunk of plastic on the corner of the laptop. So I contacted Asurion and immediately got into contact with someone, I told them what happened and my claim was approved in minutes. My laptop wasn't repairable so I received a checkfor the full amount of the laptop instead of having the laptop repaired. I will definitely use their service again. ... show more

  • Protection plan seems to be rather nice
I bought a rather pricey new laptop & bought the extended, 2-year protection plan. The laptop has been a dream & the protection plan has not gotten in my way or been a pain in any way until now. [It has been a month - usually time for a plan to reveal if it is worthwhile or not.] I hope that it continues to meet my expectations. ... show more

  • Good communication and quick response
It was a little tricky getting all the information together but once I got everything filled out, the return and fix occurred fairly quickly. I was also impressed that I could be a service tech online via chat to help advise. I will definitely insure my more expensive products with asurion.

  • Tech support? what tech support?
According to the information you provided, your plan that I paid for will help me connect to my smart devices. Well, when put to the test you failed. I had trouble connecting to my printer using the usual set up instructions, so I called Asurian. Your tech gave me a phone number to Canon. Turns out Canon is strictly virtual help, no actual people to help me. Canon's virtual assistant required I scan a sales receipt in order to get help. I bought the printer about 10 years ago and no longer have the receipt. I called Asurian for additional help. I was told there was nothing they could do. Well, I am not exactly a computer literate person, but after much research I tried an alternative path to connecting to my printer and it worked. All was done from within the new lap top. Now why couldn't your tech walk me through that process???? This is exactly why I bought the plan but you failed. ... show more

  • Warranty Stepped up where Seller Didn't
Asurion stepped up on my laptop purchase from Computer Upgrade King - where the CUK 3 year warranty wouldn't even offer me shipping & handling for sending the device to them. Asurion stepped in and found out the seller was using 3rd party hardware, misleading buyers with their advertised 'Made_By_Asus' adverts on Amazon. Asurion found the issues with the laptop and reimbursed me when CUK would not! Definitely getting Asurion with all future PC purchases on Amazon in the future. ... show more
