I purchased this primarily for an upcoming road trip and also to use instead of the hard wired 12v air compressor that came with my car. As it so happens, on the day this arrived, my car that has been parked for 6 months had one tire that was completely flat and the other 3 tires were 12 PSI low. This unit had just enough battery life to inflate one tire from 0 to 36 PSI and add another 12 PSI so the other 3. This is loud like any air compressor, but it did not get hot at all even after using it on all 4 tires back-to-back. This seems like a great little workhorse and after testing it at home I'm now confident it will work well on my road trip. I knocked one star off for a couple of minor functionality reasons: - There is no light or indication that the unit is successfully charging when plugged in and the instructions are not very clear on which USB port to use for charging (it's the USB-C). - It would be nice if there was a separate button to power the unit on/off instead of having one button for power and to start the compressor. - The buttons are not lighted which makes them difficult to see at night. - The sticker used to protect the screen leaves a lot of glue residue that has to be cleaned off. - If this unit came with a hard sided case it would be 5 stars, hands down. I worry that the included cloth bag will not do enough to protect the unit over time so I will try to find a case that it will fit in. Overall, this is a great compressor and I would recommend purchasing it. If AstroAI made some of the changes I mentioned this would be the best compressor on the market! ** Update ** There is in fact an icon that will illuminate/flash when this unit it charging, but you have to use a USB-A to USB-C cable like the one that’s included and plug it into a lower voltage charger like the old iPhone style white cube bricks. It took many hours to recharge from fully depleted to full again but it did eventually finish. It would be great if you could use a USB-C cable with a higher power charging brick, but I still won’t think twice about keeping this compressor because it works well. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have had various small tire inflators (battery powered and cigarette lighter plug in) over the decades and they were always pretty much a joke. I was unaware of this new class of compact, self contained air compressors until I read an article in a classic car magazine. The author had received one, very much like this one, as a gift from another car guy and, like me, he had been unaware of them. He quickly fell in love with it. A search of Amazon turned up a variety of these. I don’t know about the other brands but I am in love with this one, and friends and family are receiving them from us for Christmas and birthdays. We bought a stack of them. It comes with a two year warranty and I got a follow up email from the company making sure I understood how to use it and that I was happy. I have five cars in my driveway that are a pain to drag an air hose to. I usually use a portable air tank, that takes awhile to pump up with an air compressor, and it’s also a pain to deal with. This thing is small, quick and easy. It’s what I will be using for now on to keep all my tires properly inflated. Attach it to the valve, turn it on, set the target pressure and hit start. It stops automatically and the pressure matches the pressure on my digital gauge, which I won’t need anymore. If you have a kid away at college with a car, they should have one of these and a compact, lithium ion jump starter. It’s a little too loud to use in the middle of the night, in a quiet neighborhood, but in the daytime, it doesn’t stand out at all. In my video I put it through its paces. It took a large car tire from 15psi to 36psi in about 8 minutes. Then, without recharging it, I topped off a medium sized car tire that was down a little over 5psi and it took a minute and a half. Then, on the same charge, I put it to work on a pool float. It went another 9 1/2 minutes before it ran down and shut off. I let it cool down and then it took four hours to charge. It comes with a USB-A to USB-C charging cable but not the charger. It requires at least a 2 amp USB charger, so you can’t just use any charger. It also comes with a cigarette lighter cord so that, if it runs out of charge, you can power it with the car. They include a fuse, but there’s no mention anywhere of what it’s for. It’s a spare for the car cord. You unscrew the end of the plug to get to it. You’re not supposed to run it for more than 20 minutes without letting it cool down for at least 15 minutes. It also has a USB-A, 1 amp output to use for emergency power. It’s very nicely made and when you hold it in your hand it has a quality feel. It’s a perfect gift for anyone that puts air in their own tires. ... show more

    • I Love This Thing Soo Much...
I love this thing soo much that I bought my brother one, my dad one and also one for me. Every one I purchased worked as it should and we actually just used my dad's to pump up a tire on my car that went flat on the way to work. My dad's used to huge, heavy air compressors and now he just brings this little box out and pumps it up. He just used his yesterday to pump up my sister's tires effortlessly. I used it to pump up my cars tires as soon as I recieved mine. It pumped them up perfectly to 32PSI and did so rather quickly. It's not very loud, it does get hot but it's working hard to pump up your tires. I LOVE the look and design it looks futuristic and classy. The bright and LARGE LED screen makes setting the pump a breeze. I also like that the hose is attached to the device as opposed to separate so you never lose it!     • The replacement works as advertised
The first one I received had issues, the seller send me a replacement right away with out missing a beat. The new one works great. I use mine for pumping our Soccer balls before practice and match night. We have ten balls each gets pumped to 7psi and it does it well with power to spare. On the plus side we don’t brake needles anymore but using the hand pumps. Just insert and run the pump and it stops as soon as it reaches the set psi. ... show more

I don't know why it didn't occur to me to look for something like this years ago. No more trips to the gas station (which are particularly annoying since I've been driving Teslas for almost ten years!) This thing inflated my tires from 39 to 43 psi in about 30 seconds each. It's easy to use, comes charged, the battery seems to last quite a while, and it charges from a regular USB wall wart. It also is a backup battery for USB devices, and an emergency strobe. And it's quite small, so it easily fits in a glove box or door compartment. Great product. ... show more
