This review is for the ASTRO A10 Gaming Headset in blue for the PS4 (renewed), although I've been using them with an Xbox Series S for one month at the time of this review in August 2022. They are good quality, and really feel sturdy. But, the mic which is supposed to mute when flipped up, according to the document I got with them, does not mute and I really had to push hard to get the aux cord to connect to the headphones, to the point I was worried I was pushing too hard and might break them. But, in the end, it worked and they work so it's all good. The sound quality has been pretty great, I can hear what I need to hear when playing. I don't play a ton of games but I've never had a complaint about my mic other than it not muting, I'm currently using a wired controller from Razer with built-in audio controls to get around this problem. My one major complaint would be they squeeze my head a bit harder than I like. Maybe I just have a big head, but sometimes they get uncomfortable, and I just slide them off and wear them around my neck for a bit. Sometimes I wish they would just sell a mic without headphones so I could just use my sound bar again. But I digress, they are solid and pretty great, definitely worth the price paid, and all around a solid 4 out of 5, if only they weren't trying to pop my head like a pimple they'd be a 5 out of 5. ... show more

Bought this headset Amazon Renewed. Heard good things about Astro headsets and I thought the price point was good ($28). Figured if they were not that good I could return them. Arrived in a couple days in very good condition. Shipping was two boxes, outer Amazon box and inner Renewed product box. Inside the headset was in a sealed plastic bag and wrapped in bubble wrap (reviews talk about poor shipping quality, wanted to throw my experience in). Headset is extremely comfortable and feels quality built. The sound is clear, the mic is excellent. The cord is a very good length, sturdy, and has built in volume controls. The headset also came with the adapter for PC. I am very satisfied with the headset as my previous one was an AmazonBasics headset for around the same price purchased a few years earlier. Still works to its benefit but feels so cheap. I recommend this one if you can get it cheap enough. It’s an older model, no doubt, but quality products stand the test of time and these are holding up well for being around a few years. It certainly beats other cheap headsets by miles. ... show more

Headset came in on time (with prime) but was ultimately disappointed with what I got. I opted to get these headsets as a quick alternative option since I am on a budget but when I first received them, the packaging was literally just a layer of bubble wrap with it in enveloped with the yellow bag like packaging. Within was the clear plastic bag encasing the headset with the included wires (the one I bought came with a splitter) It could have been prone to being damaged by anything. The major thing that upset me the most is that the headsets AUDIO works but not the MIC!! I have tested almost every possible solution and even tested it on the PS4. It is not picking up my voice at all when I am testing the microphone. Since the version I bought was the PC version, it came with a splitter but was unidentifiable by my computer in the end. There are very little and unhelpful videos or guides trying to troubleshoot or fix the problem but were unsuccessful on my end. I will continue to find other ways to possibly figure out the problem, before inevitably returning rhese. Just be careful in buying renewed items. I've learned the hard way. ... show more

Refurbished items especially on online stores may be bad in quality. However, this headset doesn’t take the cake. The audio quality is spectacular and the durability of the headset is good as I have bad luck when it comes with xbox headsets. This was originally $60 but because it is refurbished it is 1/3 of the original price which was $20. I highly recommend buying this headset and don’t feel discouraged about the headset being refurbished, you can save a lot of money purchasing it refurbished. ... show more

Work great, sound is good for the price. They're a little heavy on the head, but the mic is exceptionally clear. You can't beat them at the price point they're listed at. Only thing is that sound was only coming out of one ear because I didn't fully plug in the audio jack. Make sure to push it in fully if your only hearing audio from one ear. ... show more

Honestly this Astro A10 headset is pretty decent for the price… the audio isn’t anything crazy but it’s still clear enough to hear footsteps, reloads and all that in games like COD and Apex, so it def gets the job done. The mic is solid too, people hear me fine, and I like that it’s just plug-and-play with no complicated setup. But it’s not perfect — the sound feels a bit “closed in” sometimes, so figuring out exactly where enemies are coming from can be a little tricky, and the comfort isn’t the best for long sessions (after awhile my ears kinda start hurting). It’s also not noise-canceling or anything fancy, so you’ll still hear stuff around you. But for the price, it’s a tough little headset that works good enough if you just want something simple and reliable without spending a ton. ... show more
