  • Best headphones on the market
Color: Black Style: PLAYSYNC Audio
I've used quite a few headphones in the past years. This is quite literally the best I've used, and its not close. Sounds quality is top tier and crisp. Hearing every footstep or sound is a huge advantage on PvP games and shooters, but also the prevision of sounds for story games is amazing. Comfortability is next level, hardly feels like there is any weight to it on your head, which is impressive as it seems so durable. Switching from my PC to my PS5 to my XBOX with a single click of a button is actually the most useful feature I've ever seen. The charging base charges these headphones quite quickly to be honest! I've thought about negatives this headphone would need to be addressed and there's hardly anything. The ONLY thing worth mentioning is that there is rare times where the headphones need to be adjusted slightly and maneuvered to sit correctly on the charging station. Oh, and of course the price is pretty steep.. but I guess you get what you pay for? Its definitely worth the price I think ... show more

  • Great sound and easy setup.
Color: Black Style: PLAYSYNC Audio
As a PC user I have always used Logitech for my gaming and entertainment sound source. And just like every Logitech device I've used the setup was easy and fast. My only issues is not being able to detach the mic as I don't use it and the cushions for the ears seem to be cloth which seem to trap any heat coming off the body. Other than that the sound quality it top notch and the setup was easy. For all those claiming you need to pay to use Dolby Atmos need to stop. Just because your audio setup is garbage or you have a old PC doesn't mean you have to pay to use it. I have a Asus ROG Crosshair X870E, AMD Ryzen 9 9950x running Windows 11 Pro. These headphones default to Dobly Atmos on my system. Are they overpriced, maybe to some. As a person who has over 30 years of PC building experience and almost the same 30 years of using Logitech products. These headphones are extremely good. Don't listen to people who may have gotten a defective product or never checked to see if there system runs what these headphones support. Happy customer. ... show more

  • Beautiful headset that brings me right back to the good old days.
Color: Black Style: PLAYSYNC Audio
I played for the last 8 hours today on this headset and I am blown away. This is the BEST headset I have ever used. I used the old A40’s for over 10 years. They were a beast of a headset and put me ahead of the competition for years. The only problem was that it was wired. The cord would frey over time and eventually screwed up the mixamp after too many rage induced drops. I decided to get the audio sync only as I have little to no desire to pull up the video at the same time as the audio every time. I tend to play the devices one at a time with no need to switch my HDMI along with it. If needed I can switch it by hand. The headset charged very quickly and was easy to understand out of the box. Watching a YouTube video on the set up might help if you have any questions. The a50s are extremely comfortable and somehow light while retaining their solid feel. The mic quality is unbelievable, you could stream with how good it is. Seriously! Even though they don’t have noise canceling, I cannot head an outside sound while they are on my head. Bluetooth is great and the controls on the side of the headset are a little strange but it only took me a few hours to get used to them. (Such as to mute the microphone you just push it up). The sound quality is amazing for both music and games especially, you can hear footsteps from so far away. I love the Bluetooth feature as well, it’s just such a great headset. If you have the money I’d pull the trigger. If you really need to switch your monitor at the touch of a button get the PLAYSYNC + Audio version. But for me the audio version is perfect. The only problem I have is the Astro command center app for PC but that’s a different matter entirely. ... show more

  • OverPriced, Overrated, Poor Build Quality AND EVEN WORSE SOFTWARE G-HUB IS TRASH
Color: Black Style: PLAYSYNC Audio
The build quality on these headphones remind me of a tic tac box, or throw away 3d glasses that get handed to you at the movies.... truly disposable quality. The sound quality is decent, but not the greatest. It lacks depth and texture. These headphones provide a very flat, warm sounds, that would satisfy most listeners, but ITS NOT "the best sounding headphones" that people claim they are. Right now, after I would say the Turtle Beach Stealth Gen 3 700 (NOT THE PRO 2, EVEN IF THEY HAVE THE SAME DRIVERS!) takes the crown for best sounding headset, but their build quality is even worse than logitech and the connectivity is bad. The logitech a50 connectivity seems reliable, EXCEPT its centered on the base station, meaning even if you try to use bluetooth audio, its a hop first to the base station THEN a second hop to your phone or other device. Meaning you cant use this without the base station! Not that you would want to wear these outside, they look ridiculous. But really the biggest deal breaker of all, is the software. The logitech brand is truly dead inside. Its a zombie corporation who are hell bent on getting all of your personal data. They want to install g-hub to use your headphones. G hub is basically spyware sitting on your pc phoning back to logitech with any amount of information they would like to collect about you. That aside, unfortunaetly (or fortunately) g hub is such trash software that I couldn't get it installed on Windows. I did everything you could possibly do, including clean uninstalling all logitech software, reinstalling it with no firewall. And attempting to restart the services in a particular order, NOTHING WORKED. It fails to boot the application.... What a nightmare. I really only care about being able to eq these headphones, so I used an open source app to do that and test the range of the sound here, and there is little in the way of adjustability to the sound signature. By that I mean if you wanted a "clearer" sound, less warm, and punchier bass (less prevalent in mid frequencies) you won't really be able to get these cans to produce sounds in that way. I am not a gamer, i just want the best sound quality possible, in a wiress headset. Right now after trying many pairs, turtle beach gen 3 700 achieves that, but at the cost of bad connectivity and poor build quality (min has already broke) But the drivers on there are the clearest you can get AND YET produce thumping, sharp bass. You aren't going to get sound like that from any of these gaming headsets, not even the maxwells, that have no bass whatsoever. These headphones are overrated UNLESS you need the specific multi point connectivity to use these between all your gaming consoles. Which i hear seems to be the main selling point. I wouldn't know i dont have any gaming consoles to test that out with.... Oh and if thats how you use these be aware that the battery life is trash. Like 10 hours max. So if you use these on your work computer for meetings, then switch to consoles for gaming. You arent going to be able to do that most days without docking these and charging them.... IDK if you these can be plugged in and charges while being used, I would hope so, otherwise 10 hrs is not enough. Most headphones offer 30-80 hrs these days ... show more

  • Initial Impressions Are Looking Good
Color: Black Style: PLAYSYNC Audio
I recently changed my review for the Logitech G935 down to 2 stars after running into many of the same issues as the other reviewers who left negative reviews. I was disappointed they were right, as Logitech has always provided a quality and lasting product. I also said that I was going to be getting this headset. I purposefully did not read any reviews until I had it in my hands. Here are my initial impressions out of the box: - Durability: The headband cushion feels incredibly flimsy. I've seen quite a few other people talk about this, and I fully believe and expect this will be a source of contention shortly. It is only connected by two seemingly flimsy tabs. One person said they zip-tied it in place right out of the box. I can't say I blame them, but I won't resort to that. If this breaks, I'll be sending it back. - Setup: The setup is straightforward. However, regardless of which platform you use, you will need a minimum of two cords to fully set up (a power cord for the base and a USB plugin for the platform). Once the headset is on, connected, and set to the right input/output, my PC and Logitech GHub app detected it immediately. I should point out that all of the required cords were included. On top of this, they also included outlet adapters for every type of outlet I know of (European, Middle Eastern, etc; there are a total of 5 outlet adapters). I point this out because other reviews say they didn't get the correct plug adapter (I may have a new generation of the headset). - Weight: I saw some reviews commenting on the headset's weight. In my hand, they don't feel heavier than my G935s, although admittedly, those are already on the heavy side. I don't suspect that this will be an issue for me, but if you have used primarily lighter headsets in the past, it may be an adjustment for you. - Dolby Atmos activation/upgrade: Based on the literature and starting stages of setup, my initial understanding was that this was a paid upgrade accessed via monthly subscription (which is outrageous on its own, but I digress). Thankfully, this is not the case. A license to use and access Dolby Atmos for Headphones is included with your purchase of this headset, and the only thing you have to do is download the Dolby app. If your headset is on, Dolby will automatically detect it and apply the settings. I can tell that it did SOMETHING, but I haven't noticed any life-altering changes to the sound quality yet. Furthermore, there is a built-in EQ in the Logitech GHub app (I know many people don't like this app, but I have had good luck with it so far). - Comfort: The earmuffs are comfortable but on the smaller side. My ears don't seem to fit into them as well as they did in my G935s. The ear placements are fully adjustable, so you can raise/lower them as needed. I saw other reviewers say they couldn't do this. I may have a new generation of the headset. - Sound quality: As stated previously, I had a pair of Logitech G935s. They produced impressive sound, and I was thoroughly content with them. Since this isn't a MAJOR upgrade (in my opinion), I wasn't overly blown away by a distinct increase in sound quality. If I'm being 100% honest, I was initially slightly let down before adjusting the EQ to a more familiar tone. Now that it sounds more like I'm used to, it sounds about the same as my G935s. I'm by no means an audiophile; I use headsets for Discord, video games, and sometimes music. I care more about bass and clarity than anything else. Do with this information what you will. All in all, I remain hopeful. It only gets four stars because the headband cushion issue is...well, going to be an issue. I don't like that I could pinpoint a potential source of contention as soon I put it on my head. But to be fair to Logitech, it works as expected right now. I will update this review in the future, especially if I have any issues with this product. ... show more

  • I'm in love!
Color: White Style: PLAYSYNC Audio
I spend most of my day with a headset on my head between working from home and gaming with friends. I wanted the freedom to be able to move around while listening and being able to participate in conversations. After much research and watching reviews that I settled on this one. The clarity and voice quality are great and gives you options to change a bunch of settings with the Logitech download. I find that it fits my head well and is comfortable to wear all day long, no issues with my ears hurting at all. The connection works mostly all around my house, it does break up when I get to the further point away but to be expected. The base and headset design are nice and it's very simple to set the headset on the base to charge when not in use, which also keeps your headset safe and out of the way. Overall I have had this headset for awhile now and I upgraded my computer and it was easy to switch it over as well. I can say that no complaints and would surely buy it again if needed cause I love them! ... show more

  • Impressed with the Astro A50
Color: White Style: PLAYSYNC Audio
I was upgrading from the Corsair Virtuoso and thought I'd buy the SteelSeries Nova 7X. The Novas arrived, and I didn't like the sound of them. I tried multiple games, and they just didn't sound right. I decided to buy the Astro A50, and wow So much better. I couldn't be happier with them. I even bought the WC Astro A50 gel ear pad adapter, and while they were comfortable out of the box, the addition of the WC's was perfect and added to the comfort. They are not heavy and are comfortable. While they are plastic, they don't feel flimsy. While the base stand can connect to multiple platforms and can switch between them, by the touch of a button on the headset i only use it for my PC setup. The base stand, magnetic connection, and charging are awesome. Couldnt be happier. ... show more

  • Good, but longevity concerns.
Color: Black Style: PLAYSYNC Audio
Having had these for just over a year now, I have a pretty good idea of the quality of these by now. Sound quality is great, mic quality is great. Nothing special, but above average. No issues there. Battery life started out great. Last a good long while, but unfortunately about 3/4 a year in, it no longer charged to full. It only seemed capable of charging to 75%, and that has stayed true until now. Not ideal. The headband on the top broke off, and some of the plastic on the edges peeled back a bit. Headband was easily replaced with a cheap part, no biggie. Plastic peeling is unfixable. Bluetooth range is fantastic, I can leave my house and it's still connected. Have to walk maybe 50 ft away before it drops. All in all, solid headphones. But at this price, I would've expected the battery and quality to last longer without issue. ... show more
