I previously purchased the Xbox version of this headset and loved it, however, the PS5 version has constant “popping” or interference coming through along with the audio. Obviously very distracting, and not what you’re looking for out of a new headset. Willing to give the benefit of the doubt that this particular headset is defective, but I will be trying to replace the one I received. EDIT AFTER TRYING AGAIN: After my initial purchase I couldn’t believe I was having so many issues with the headset, so I requested a second set to verify whether or not it was a one-off problem or something systemic with the product. After trying out the second pair and having the same “issue”, I knew it was a me problem. I quickly discovered that the static or interference I was experiencing was a result of the USB drive in my PlayStation being on PC mode and not PlayStation mode. I pressed the button on the USB drive and the problem instantly went away. The headset has performed exactly as I thought it would originally, and I highly recommend it. ... show more

    • PAIN TO MAKE IT WORK ON PC but great Product

It was HELL! to make it work on a PC. Product lacks of clear documentation and even the videos on youtube from the manufacturer arent very clear. It took me at least 2 hours to understand how to make it work on the PC. Once it worked the sound was amazing, ear comfort is superb, product features were excellent. Only downside is that product lacks of support, application to update the firmware doesnt even work correctly. First thing to know is that the USB dongle has a button to switch modes where the blue led is xbox or PS5 mode and the white led is for the PC. Each mode installs different drivers so make sure that your PC has installed the drivers when switched to PC mode. Another good practice is to connect the USB cable to the headset on the PC. By default whenever you unplug the USB dongle or restart the computer, the USB Transmitter will reset back to gaming console mode. Just press the button on the transmitter and make sure the led changesw to white color and that will make it work again. ... show more

Edit: Lowering my review. After a few weeks I'm now encountering connection issues where the dongle thinks the headset is in Playstation mode, so it won't connect to my PC. Absolutely do not get this headset for PC use. I'd give this a 3.5 but I'll round up to 4. The ergonomics aren't great. The headband is hard foam, but has a triangular shape that causes the weight to be concentrated so its not the most comfortable. The size barely fits me, if you have a big head or ears this may not fit you. I have large earlobes so the bottom of the ear pads uncomfortably squish them. The sound when playing is not bad. Surprisingly it doesn't get very loud at max volume, but it's loud enough for practical applications. Quality is good enough for gaming and music, but I'm not an audiophile. There is unfortunately a very faint static sound when nothing is playing. It's barely noticeable, less than the sound of my tinnitus, but I can tell its there. edit: after using it for a couple weeks I'm removing a star. The headset sometimes just doesn't work. It claims to connect but no sound will play. 2nd edit: after using it for a few months I can confidently say never to buy this headset. The driver occasionally crashes when connecting to Discord and people have complained to me about terrible microphone quality. I bought a Blackshark V2 Pro (2020) instead and it seems to be much better for $30 more. ... show more
