The outdoor rated polyester material of this 10' x 10' pergola shade cover is water repellent and UV and Fade resistant with weighted bars on each side that are used to adjust the shade from side to side. The patio pergola frame is made from a powder-coated rust-resistant steel that can be anchored down with the 8 stakes that are included to secure the legs to soft ground. If used on a hard surface, the legs should be weighted. Perfect for a deck pergola.

The media could not be loaded. Aesthetically nice. Semi strong. Have had it for a few months now. The does not stay put, even with the metal bars used to hold it in place. We tried many things to tie the shades down. The wind constantly blew it to the side throughout the day or all the way off even with light breeze outside. I finally took the shades off and tied bamboo fencing onto the top and that works better and looks nice. I’d suggest you get the canopy only for the frame and don’t expect much from the shade ... show more

    • I’m glad I got it. But the canopy is not sturdy.
The pergola itself is just what I wanted. I hired some guys to put it together. The canopy is very thin. It isn’t waterproof. Snow and ice pulled it down. And wind tore a tie off the canopy. I need to get a stronger, waterproof canopy.

I am very happy with this product. This product was very easy to assemble. All that was needed was a screwdriver. Even though they supplied tools to use I found the screwdriver to be much easier. Everything was labeled and wrapped individually by section. It took about an hour to get it finished. I am a tall person so bumping my head on things is always a problem. I am able to clear this with no issues. It was able to give us shade and make it more comfortable to be outside. I would recommend it for everyone. ... show more

    • Great frame, tarp is like a bad joke.
The media could not be loaded. The frame is very sturdy and looks great. Assembly is a 2 person process but easy. The tarp. Oh the tarp. Its flimsy material is NOT waterproof. The corner ties seem like they were added as an afterthought. One was missing. The slightest breeze causes the entire cover to inflate like a sail and lift to the heavens. My wife sewed on the missing corner and is now adding additional ties to try to keep the whole thing from imitating Dorothy’s farmhouse in the wizard of oz. ... show more

Im writing this review because we just had horrrrrible weather. My pergola is nailed down with 2x4 or 4x4...I love it - it did not move at all. Ive had mine for a few months now and have not had one problem due to it being nailed down. I love it - provides privacy - you cant go wrong if you nail it down but it is definitely worth the money. ... show more

Arrived without parts necessary to assemble. Mfg, after several emails, advised that these parts were out of stock and would not be available for several months and further advised to return product to Amazon which we are the process of doing.
