  • Not to shabby......... Not to shabby.........
Size: RX 9070 16G Style: Challenger
I can tell you that this card performs very well (for gaming). I've often found myself bouncing between Nvidia and AMD over the years. However with the prices of cards all over the place this was a pretty good deal at around 600.00. Nvidia wasn't even an option as they were almost 300.00 more for about the same performance. Trust me when I say if the card was no good I'd be the first to say "don't waste your time or money." Thankfully AMD hit it out of the park and ASRock did a pretty good job on their "Challenger" series. A few things to pay attention to: - It used to be where you could just simply plug and play a GPU and you'd just switch drivers. Sometimes that isn't the case now. If you find your new card didn't display (at all) then it's most likely the BIOS settings and make sure you change your PCI settings from auto, to GEN3 or most likely GEN4 to fire up. - Don't "youtube" your life away trying to mess around with the settings for performance. Download the AMD "Adrenaline" Software and it's a no brainer. It can recommend the "optimal" performance settings based on the actual game you're playing and most likely you won't have an issue. - Make sure you have a strong enough PSU (power supply) for this card. I believe it says you should have at least a 700watt PSU. Get something larger. If you run a hefty CPU (mine is 250watts) then you should be running at least a 1000watt (just to be safe). Plus I have a cooler and all kinds of fans. Do yourself a favor and get a "modular" PSU. This way you can have two separate PCI plugs going into the GPU card. Of course you can put your PC together anyway you like but if you're going to spend the money on a decent GPU you should make sure it'll perform optimally with a good MB, CPU, Memory and PSU. Just my two cents. I tested this card under a pretty demanding game (call of duty 7 multiplayer and co-op) and was averaging over 152FPS. I had the game settings at a 4K Display Resolution, under "extreme graphic" preset and with all settings at Ultra, Very High and High. That's pretty darn good for a GPU at just over 600.00. My Build: Motherboard: MSI MS-7E12 Memory: Corsair Memory (DDR5-6000 / PC5-48000) 32GB CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D Liquid Cooled: AsiaHorse WK-A360 ARGB Disk(C/Drive): Seagate 2TB ZP2000GM30063 (Approximately 7000mb/s read/write) Power Supply: NZXT C1000 (1000watt modular) GPU: ASRock RX 9070 Challenger 16GB ... show more

  • RX 9070 better than Most NVidia cards
Size: RX 9070 16G Style: Steel Legend
Love this Graphics card, I am a gamer and upgraded from a RTX 3070 MSI. I have to say this one had way better features and support than Nvidia. I am an AMD Fan now this thing can run forza Horizon 6 on extreme settings no problem. I get high frames with most my games no issue. I was thinking of going with one model higher, but this one for the price was an awesome choice. I haven't regretted this purchase at all its so good for the cost. The amount of ram is a game changer I am use to getting NVidia card with hardly any ram this got a nice 16gb. ... show more

  • Great for the money
Size: RX 9070 16G Style: Challenger
It’s a good card, couldn’t bring myself to pay the extra 100 for the xt. I’m not a huge gamer. I don’t need the best of the best. But playing the new 007 at 1440p ultra wide. It’s putting out around 240fps. Which is perfect for my monitor. But the gpu is giving it all she has to get there. Performs great though, especially for the cost. ... show more

  • Awesome in 2026

Great card that runs everything I want to run smoothly and quietly. Works great with my FreeSync monitor. GPU prices are volatile as of this review, so watch the 30 and 90-day price history.

  • Bought an RX 9070 and got an XT minus 8 CUs. Simply phenomenal! Thank you ASRock!!! Bought an RX 9070 and got an XT minus 8 CUs. Simply phenomenal! Thank you ASRock!!!
Size: RX 9070 16G Style: Steel Legend
I may have landed a true "Golden Sample" with this ASRock Steel Legend RX 9070. After extensive testing in heavy titles at 2K like Crimson Desert (Cinematic/RR), Cyberpunk 2077, Star Wars Outlaws, Indiana Jones; efficiency and thermal performance are simply unmatched. The "Golden Sample" & The Binning: It’s clear that the RDNA 4 manufacturing process is highly mature. These chips (originally 9070 XT silicon cut to 56 CUs) offer incredible undervolting headroom. My specific unit is stable at a massive -90mV offset. My Optimized "Efficiency & Longevity" Profile: To achieve world-class stability and thermals, I’m running the following settings in Adrenalin: Voltage: -90mV (Rock solid). Frequency Offset: -350MHz (Compensating for the undervolt to ensure 100% stability in ray-traced titles). VRAM: Overclocked to 2700MHz with Fast Timings enabled. Power Limit: Set to -10%. Performance: Even with these efficiency caps, I’m hitting a sustained 3050–3060 MHz in-game. ASRock’s Immaculate Thermal Design: The Steel Legend’s heatsink is massively overbuilt for this power envelope. Using a custom fan curve with P3 at 70°C / 55% fan speed, my Hot Spot stays at an incredible 74°C–77°C under 100% load. The card remains remarkably quiet, and the component quality ensures that this is a "buy it once, use it for years" piece of hardware. Verdict: This card is a dream. ASRock has delivered a premium, mature product that handles the most demanding 2026 titles with ease while running cooler than most mid-range cards. 5/5 Stars – Highly recommended for the technical gamer. PS. 1st screenshot, Crimson Desert. 2nd screenshot, Star Wars Outlaws. At 2K and AMD Software Adrenalin settings as described above. ... show more

  • Nice one!
Size: RX 9070 16G Style: Challenger
So far, so good. Nothing fancy, a dumb rgb strip that can be turned off at any moment and a really nice card. Upgraded from an really old RX 580 8Gb to this and it is another world. Recommended... would've been better if prices were not so high.

  • Oculus Rift CV1 Incompatible
Size: RX 9070 16G Style: Challenger
Great card, except not compatible with the oculus rift cv1. HDMI 1.3 direct mode support from AMD is highly broken for 9000 series. My old 5500xt GPU was fine. Now, audio drops out and then tracking lights turn off on the rift. Meta and AMD aren't going to fix driver support for an 8 year old VR headset. ... show more

  • Excellent card so far! Excellent card so far!
Size: RX 9070 16G Style: Challenger
This beats my current card by far. I had a 3070ti for 5 years, and it was giving me issues in Borderlands 4/FF7 Rebirth/Doom:Dark Ages. This RX9070 card has completely resolved those issues. Things to know: if you're coming from an Nvidia card, this automatically changed my boot drive setting to UEFI from CSM, after installation. So my PC did not boot once installed. I had to change boot mode back to CSM. (for Windows 10). Also as per the AMD stereotype, it seems to run hotter than Nvida cards. But so far it's resolved any stuttering/tearing/render lag that my 3070ti was giving. And i'm able to run at 1440p on a 32" wide monitor at 144hz while maintaining at least 117FPS. (Running a Core i5 11600k/32GB Ram) ... show more
