It is Toby. We went to the beach. I want to start by saying that the beach is the greatest place that exists and I have been to several places. There is sand, which I have feelings about. There is water, which I have stronger feelings about. There are birds, which I have the strongest feelings about and which have never once respected the conversation I am trying to have with them. We got to the beach and Dad reached into the bag and took out four small sock things and I looked at the four small sock things and I looked at Dad and Dad looked at me with the expression that means "this is going to be fine" which as I have previously documented is the expression that precedes things that are not immediately fine. He put them on my feet. All four feet. Individually. While I stood there with the dignity of a dog who has decided that resistance is not worth the energy when Dad has made up his mind, which I learned from the ramp, and the ear drops, and the puzzle box, and the general arc of our six years together. I took several steps. The steps were weird. My feet were making decisions I had not authorized. I looked at my feet. I looked at Dad. Dad said "good boy" with genuine encouragement and I decided to table my concerns and go to the beach. Here is what I will not tell Dad: the sand did not get between my toes. The hot parking lot pavement on the way in, which has historically been a situation, was not a situation. The water did not bother my feet in the specific way that water bothers my feet. I ran on the beach for forty-five minutes. I went in the water. I chased a bird who was not interested in being chased but I maintain that I made my point. I came back to Dad and shook water on him, which I do every time and which he responds to the same way every time, and it is one of our traditions and I cherish it. The socks stayed on the entire time. Every single foot. I checked. Do I need beach shoes? The ramp was also unnecessary. These are positions I maintain. Bought these water socks. We were going to Maui and wanted something to put on to where where our fins as we went snorkeling. Bought this for my husband and he thought they were fantastic. Great fit and worked exactly how we needed them to work. I would definitely recommend them

These are cute and stretchy and ways to put on. The only thing is the toes and heel aren’t that comfy. Can’t really tell once you’re playing but it takes a little to get used to. Great for wet sand and not sand. Very durable. Color options are cute. Not slip grips. Keeps feet warm for cold nights

I ordered these for a trip to Discovery Cove (in Orlando, FL). They were perfect for a whole day of in/out of water! When I tried them on, I wasn't sure if they would work, because I could feel the seam across my toes, but honestly, it didn't bother me at all. They protected my toes from getting scraped on rocks; they kept my feet from burning on the HOT sand (it was 97 degrees and sunny the day we went); and they protected me from walking on floors with no shoes (bathroom and restaurant). Despite walking on fine white sand, no sand got in them, and I didn't have one blister after wearing them all day. Highly recommend! ... show more

These worked great for what I wanted them for. I wanted something that would keep most of the sand off my feet at the beach as well as protecting my feet from the hot sand. These worked great. They kept all of the sand out until I actually got in the large waves and then some sand eventually worked its way in. But they kept 95-99% of it out. I then was able to take them off and put my other water/beach shoes on to go home without those getting full of sand from my feet. I haven’t had them long only a few times to beach, but they seem to be holding up well. I did make sure I wasn’t dragging my feet on the sidewalks while I got to the beach though.     • Loving these for pool exercise, but...

An update to the review below that I originally posted... After approximately one hour of cumulative use, the outer layers of the bottoms of the socks have holes in them. Granted, the pool I'm walking in has rough spots near the deepest part, but even at a discount, this is not sustainable. However, if you are using one of those slick-bottomed pools, these might be the thing to try. I definitely like the grip. I am heartbroken because I really liked these socks. (Original Review) This review is a little premature because I've only used these water socks once, but I wish I had been using them as soon as I started my pool walking. For many things like walking on stony beaches, water shoes are better. My water shoes, however, over time tend to make blisters. These water socks that I would not recommend for rocky beaches are, however, absolutely perfect for pool exercising. The pool I use has a really rough bottom and makes blisters on my feet. These water socks are not as cumbersome as water shoes and are a great design because they come up above the ankle which means they won't fly off of your foot like a water shoe could do. These are a lighter weight and secure and honestly, water shoes simply seem to be overkill for a pool. ... show more
