Only issue with this is there are zero instructions on house to connect the kayaks and the front straps. We had to watch multiple videos on other products to figure it out how to connect them. Also the straps are pretty flimsy, we used stronger more durable ones we had.

Wow… great kayak roof rack. Holds the kayaks well. It was fairly easy to assemble, and I suck at assembly. It looks cool and the levers adjust for non-use. This roof rack hold our kayaks well, even on long drives. I highly recommend this product.

Just installed and haven’t traveled with yet, so no comment on the straps yet. Would taken only all of 15 minutes to install, but I had to shorten the bolts by about 1/2 inch. Otherwise, when my kayak was in loaded the bolts would damage the vehicle roof. In addition, I’ll have to use a 2” pool noodle to keep the hinged upright from touching the roof too. Love the fact of the foldability and being able to get into garage with installed. The roof racks added just over 4-inches to the height. I have a Tahoe and it clears the garage door.

Easy to use, lets my haul two fairly large kayaks on my Bolt. This does set the kayaks up vertically when you haul two, which can cause some loud resonation at high speeds. Not hard to install, but I did have to replace the straps after two of them cut into each other.

This is sturdy and I was confident that the kayaks weren’t going to fall off. Poor instructions like other commenters. The thing I don’t like is there aren’t any dedicated loops or areas on the rack to attach straps to. You just have to try to figure out the best spots.

The media could not be loaded. This rack is awesome. Out of the box there are 4 main parts and then the hardware and all the straps. It takes about a minute to put each of the four parts and hardware together. Then the two parts that fit together just slide together and assembly is complete. Installing on your roof cross bars takes about the same about of time, under 5 mins. With the short install time it’s easy to take off and on at the boat launch so you can leave them locked in your vehicle for peace of mind while you enjoy your day on the water. The straps are nice as well. It some with 4 tension straps for holding the kayaks to the rack and comes with 2 pull ratcheting style straps for the front and back of the boats to tie down to the front and back of your vehicle. The adjustable middle section of the rack is very easy to operate and can be done with one hand. All and all this is a great roof rack.
