Bought this rack to hold my pelican 130t Angler kayak (2 seater) and my single seater pelican angler on my Chrysler Pacifica and it did not disappoint!! Right out of the box you could feel the quality as this thing is heavy duty. Love that the base is so much wider than the other options online coming in at over 32” as it was perfect for my larger kayak! And the paddle holders kept our van free and clear of those bulky paddles. Mounted easily to the factory oval crossbars with enough room to avoid the bolts from scratching the roof. I also like having the option to lay the center bar flat and mount the canoe or paddle boards that way when you’re only carrying one. I even used the included ropes to tie the front of the kayak off to aid in securing the 13’ beast, but I do not think it is required as the rack held it tightly in place! The media could not be loaded. This rack is awesome. Out of the box there are 4 main parts and then the hardware and all the straps. It takes about a minute to put each of the four parts and hardware together. Then the two parts that fit together just slide together and assembly is complete. Installing on your roof cross bars takes about the same about of time, under 5 mins. With the short install time it’s easy to take off and on at the boat launch so you can leave them locked in your vehicle for peace of mind while you enjoy your day on the water. The straps are nice as well. It some with 4 tension straps for holding the kayaks to the rack and comes with 2 pull ratcheting style straps for the front and back of the boats to tie down to the front and back of your vehicle. The adjustable middle section of the rack is very easy to operate and can be done with one hand. All and all this is a great roof rack. ... show more

Installation was fairly easy, not a lot of parts/pieces to worry about. Was a little tricky threading the bolt from under, but managable. Held the 2 kayaks very sturdy. Locking mechanism feels nice and tight, doesn't wobble. Makes less noise driving than my previous racks. I would suggest these to anyone wanting to put kayaks on their car, or is really tall. Is a little bit of a reach for me(5'10") to put my on my kayaks on my SUV. Overall, these are very good racks especially for the price range. ... show more

These were so easy to install. 10 minutes tops. They are very easy to use. They hold the kayaks very securely. The included straps and bow/stern ropes work perfectly. I love how sporty they look when not hauling kayaks. I can think of two things to nitpick about, but it doesn't deserve taking stars away. 1. The instructions do not include how to strap kayaks on or how to use the bow/stern ropes. A quick youtube seach helped out a lot. 2. The included paddle straps are very difficult to latch, especially with two paddles in them, but I guess it helps them to be secure. I really like these! ... show more

-it was a pretty easy install… the directions are a little confusing, but if you’re good at figuring things out on your own you should be fine. -you have to make sure you put your kayak up vertically, not slanted. unlike other kayaks where you have to put the kayak up on an angle, this one you have to put it literally straight up like the picture shows. -i went pretty local and went probably at most 55mph, so when i travel far i will most likely update this. -my roof rails were also from amazon and they worked well together -i also really like the added feature to be able to fold it down when not in use! hope this helps!! ... show more

Nice looking racks. Install easily. Have only used it with one kayak so far. Only real complaint is the noise. This is the third rack I’ve had and the first of this kind. I’ve never had a problem with noise, but at a higher speed they make a very annoying whistling sound. Not sure how to solve the problem ... show more
