Brought for my college apartment in 2024, I believe it's been a sufficient amount of time and use to leave a review. This is exactly as described. It doesn't take up much space, yet it is able to cook A LOT of rice in one session. The steamer works great as well, I've steamed large items such as corn, potatoes, and even tamales on it. I've never had any rice burned, water spillage, or problems with the cooker. From a critical standpoint, the only issue (which isn't even a big one) is that the bowl has a bit of a wobble to it. While it's not a perfect fit, it easy to overlook because it's detached and easy to clean - no rice get stuck. I still use this rice cooker today and it's just as new as when I brought it.

Great little rice cooker. Makes fantastic rice and will also do well with other soups, beans, any kind of steaming you want to do (that will fit in the steamer)... I've owned five of these, and given three away to friends! Customer service from Aroma is also great. I had one faulty unit, and they sent me a new one pretty quick. There are only four drawbacks to this multicooker, and they're situational. One is the short cord. Most kitchen countertops have outlets, but if you want to use it elsewhere, that might matter. Two, there's no OFF function - if it's plugged in, it's on Warm, and unplugging it is the only way to turn it off entirely. Three, the nonstick coating on the inside is fragile like any other nonstick coating. It's not SUPER delicate, but you do need to take care to never use metal implements. Finally, this is designed as a rice cooker. The science behind why it works is really cool, but it means that once it hits about 220 degrees Fahrenheit, it kicks back to Warm. So, there's no good way to do any higher-heat cooking in this thing. For about a year, this was the only thing I had to cook with, so it did constrain what I could make. But these are all pretty specific issues, that most folks won't have any worries over. For the value and utiliity, this is an incredible purchase. And it makes PERFECT rice. (Just wash your rice!)

I love my Aroma rice cooker! It cooks rice perfectly every time — fluffy, evenly cooked, and in just minutes. I’ve also used it for cooking vegetables and it works wonderfully for steaming, keeping them tender and full of flavor. The cooker is easy to use with simple controls, and cleanup is a breeze thanks to the non-stick pot. The compact size fits nicely on my countertop, but it still holds enough rice for multiple servings. It’s been a consistent kitchen helper and makes meal prep so much easier.

I really like this little rice cooker for many reasons. It cooks rice faster than it's big brother (the AROMA Digital Rice Cooker, 4-Cup (Uncooked) / 8-Cup (Cooked)), which we've been using for a few years, but recently the lid latch broke off when we opened the lid after cooking a batch of rice. The footprint of this rice cooker on the counter is small, so it doesn't take up much space. Clean up is very easy with the non-stick surface. Here are the cons: The cup markings are the same color as the non-stick coating and are barely raised, so it is extremely difficult to tell when you fill the water to the correct level (this is my biggest pet peeve with this rice cooker). Due to foot placement, you have to hold the rice cooker when you press down on the cook button, else the rice cooker tips over. The rice comes out nicely cooked, but remember to unplug the unit when the rice is cooked, else the rice on the bottom of the pan can become brown or overcooked.

I bought 3 of these; one for me and one for each vacation rental. It just seems like the perfect addition to the kitchen amenities I offer to provide a variety of cooking utensils and something that will make easy meals in one pot or economical. With the steamer basket you can add vegetables, fish and you got a whole meal. I had a rice maker a long time ago and I really miss what a no brainer it was to make rice. 1 cup dry rice, rinse the rice in strainer until water is clear will get rid of the sticky starch and then dump into the cooker, add 2 cups water as most instructions tell you but the rice cooker I had before said to add an additional 1/4 cup and it came out perfect. This brand seems to be one of "the brands" in rice cookers so we'll see if it lives up to its reputation. Certainly can't complain about the price, the size is perfect for a single or couple with one kid even and won't take up much cubboard space either, but it says it can make up to 6 cups cooked that's like to the very top and not sure if it will burn on the bottom by the time that all cooks, so I'd try it in stages to find the max sweet spot it can still produce good cooked rice. Brown rice would need par cooking or a lot more water not sure, I don't eat brown rice because of the toxins in it. update: I finally used my rice cooker and I like Jasmine rice, terrible it just kept cooking didn't shut off I had to pull the plug and it didn't burn the bottom, but the bottom rice was uneatable like a solid layer of rice stuck together. Very disappointed!
