I used a competing brand when I bought my Canon 70D. It was fine, but hard to get dust specks or bubbles out. ArmorSuit was easy to put on my 80D and to adjust perfectly. It left no imperfections and produced a nicely clear screen. It seems a little flexible (not a hard surface), but I guess that's necessary for the auto-healing it does to scratches. Touch sensitivity is not affected by this product and the screen closes completely. Those are good things! ... show more

Pros: Ease of installation Protection Invisible Durability Longevity Cons: None! This one is a no-brainer. I installed this the week I got my 70D body, which was a little more than a year ago. They're still going strong with not a mark on them. They went on quick and easy the first try with no bubbles, and are so invisible that I forget they are there. You have to look really hard to even notice them. 1 year and 1 month, numerous hikes and 3 day camping trips, about 30 little league games survived, and still looking brand new. ... show more

9/7/2016 After a almost a year of heavy use, this shield turned out to be not bad after all. You just need to re-install it if the film starts lifting. 10/18/2015 update Will give it another chance as I like the idea of being able to re-install the screen. I used other protective screens where it left sticky residue when it was time to remove and replace a new one. I posted pictures, one where bubbles developed just after three weeks of use, and another where I re-installed the protector. Hopefully, the protector will last longer this time. I will revisit my review after a few months or so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bought this for my Canon EOS 70D. Wanted to give it some time before giving a review on it. After about 1 month use, here's my experience on the screen protector. Pros: 1) Received product from seller ahead of time. 2) Decent fit on the screen. 3) Easy to apply. I was able to put the protector on the LCD perfectly without any problems. 4) Does not hinder use of the screen. Con: After three weeks of use, bubbles started forming in the center. Another week later, separate set of bubbles started forming at the edge. I am meticulous with my gear and keep equipment in top shape all the time. I have been using my camera in a clean environment, so I was surprised to see the protector start peeling too soon. I will see if I can re-apply the screen protector and see how long the second installation last. It's an excellent screen protector, but it only last for a short period of time. I received the package on time. It had instructions for a youtube video to learn how to install the product which was very helpful. I'm sure I wouldn't have done it correctly if I had not watched the video. It involves spraying the included fluid on the plastic sheet and the device. We definitely try to keep liquid away from electronics so it was a bit difficult to spray the fluid on the camera and the sheet but it worked just as on the video with no issues. The plastic or whatever it is works well. It is rather soft so I scratched it with my fingernail when I was first using it but that is my issue, not the fault of the product. I would just suggest people be careful with it. I don't know if it ever becomes more firm with time. I don't know if that makes sense but I'll have to see how it is with use. ... show more

    • Great product, easy to apply
I watched the video before doing this and highly recommend you do. It is applied similar to window tint but is much easier because of the smaller size and no need for heat shrinking. To my surprise, not only is there film for the main LCD, but also for the top right small settings display. Easy to install and I got a perfect bubble-free placement for both film pieces. There is an included microfiber and squeegee card. Before I did the install, I additional used a lint-free Pec-Pad and cleaning solution to clean the LCD and settings display. Arrived as expected, fit as desired and NO PROBLEM installing after I watched the video on their site. I did pull it off and reinstall the top LCD screen protector to suit my NIT PICKING mentality -- came off and went back on as advertised and NOW am very happy with it. Bought the ArmorSuit for my Nexus 2013 also. Same results. Installed first time for practice and pulled off and reapplied to make it fit PERFECTLY, which it now does. I think there will always be negative reviews; some people can't do anything. We have a saying here in Texas that there are some people who would complain even if they were hung with a NEW rope. I am a happy camper and have already recommended this product to my friends with 70d camera. ... show more

So I'm not sure if the vendor is selling seconds, if its a fake product or if its a crappy product with little quality control. I received a brand new sealed box but when I looked at the surface of the shielding (before I lifted it of the backing material) it looks scratched and has residue lines or something. Also there was black lint on the sheet and thought it may have found its way into the box (as the box is not air tight) but there is an obvious large piece of black lint under the shield material. This would transfer onto the camera if I applied the shield!! I would not recommend this product. ... show more

    • Perfect solution for the 70D
This shield fits perfectly and is almost completely invisible when properly applied. Take your time, follow the instructions and use plenty of the included fluid when you install the two shields. I'm convinced this product has saved my 70D screen on multiple occasions. A few times I've noticed what appear to be scratches or dents in the shield material from where I've press or scraped it against something. What's really cool is that the shield sort of self-heals and the indentations slowly go away leaving a pristine surface again. I've used a lot of different shields on many different devices. Often, I end up removing them because they degrade the viewing experience too much. Not true with this shield material. The image on the screen is nearly indistinguishable from the naked (no shield) image. This is by far the best shield material I've used. Highly recommended. ... show more
