These stools are beautiful! They are light weight, but sturdy. Love that they swivel. Love that the height is lower than the counter top. Was a little cercern the low back wouldn't provide enough back surport but they feel great.

I love these stools!! I ordered 3 and they are beautiful. However, when I put them up against my kitchen cabinets the walnut wood clashed. So I had to make a decision, return them or stain them. I took apart a perfectly brand new stool which really broke my heart and I proceeded to stain the first stool. I realized that the walnut grain is actually a laminate and the stain would not soak in and did not dry. So I stripped the stain bought a spray paint and spray painted all three stools. After much hard work it was all worth it. Five stars to the customer service at Armen living who sent me 24 plastic caps at no cost to replace the ones I had to takeoff and mess up. ... show more

We paid full price for two new stools. Used stools go for much cheaper price, but we wanted the assurance of new products. What did we receive? One stool came loosely packed without interior wrapping, and crumbled foam fragments throughout the box. The hardware was packed in a bag formerly used for felt pads-see photo. We inspected it and it looked OK, so we assembled it. The second stool was packed well, but had no hardware. We did not get a "Contact seller" link with this order, so we ended up buying hardware on our own. During assembly, we found out that one screw hole had been stripped but we got the stool together anyway. That said the stools are cute and light weight The legs have levelers to keep them from wobbling. They earn one star because of the poor buying experience. ... show more

I have been looking for a stool that is somewhat minimal but still comfortable. The cushioned seat, foot rest and small back rest all make for a comfy seat. I had saddle stools before which after a while were hard and narrow. The seat is roomy. Very easy to assemble. Oh and they swivel! So happy with these! ... show more

I just want to share my experience with buying these stools. I ordered two stools and was really happy to have these beautiful stools in my kitchen. However, I received not my expectation. One stool from the second box arrived damaged and we realized it after it was assembled. It looks like one rough line with a big broken portion in the middle of the bottom hand. Also, we found differences between sets for the installation of stools in the boxes. Two different sets for the same model of the stool. On the left side «H» has only 2 instead of 4 and on the right side «L» parts are missing. I think this is not a very important thing that some parts of missing and we have parts for another piece of furniture as I guess, but the damaged stool is a problem! We are really disappointed because I tried to find really good stools and finally I was surprised. Okay, I emailed to manufactory "Armen Living Furniture"(email with instructions was included in the box) and then I got through Amazon a replacement. This one is good. Finally, I am going to send the broken stool back. Bar stools look good under my counter, but I lost my time. ... show more

The caps on the bottom legs of the chair are very hard and scratch my floors. Because of the design, its nearly impossible to keep felt caps on them to stop this process. As such, we have to be really careful about moving them about. The seats are comfortable and work as intended. The shipping and packaging was garbage. All three chairs I purchased had dings, nicks, scratches, and dents. All hardware for putting the stools together, in all three boxes, was free floating around the box. I can't see it being an isolated incident if all three were that way, but thank god all hardware was in there. Can't believe my luck. Pretty expensive for banged-up stools. Love how the chairs look. There are a few nicks under the chair but I wasn’t looking for perfect under the chair. There were was a scratch that was fixed of some sort on the backrest of two but unless you closely inspect I wouldn’t have noticed. I will survive. But because they aren’t perfect they get 4 stars.
