If you like to get value in your furniture, these are the stools for you. We bought them because the backs are not too high, the wood looks good in our house, the chrome ads a nice touch, and the price makes them a great value. We purchased 3 stools and one stool has been continually shorter than the other two. The two taller ones measure 25" not 26" which is okay, but the third stool AND the replacement they sent us were both 23-24" - a significant height difference that seems to be in the legs of the stools. We are trying to get the same size stool a third time but this is a little ridiculous. ... show more

I love these chairs. Easy to put together, looks so good, comfortable and kid friendly, easy to clean, and goes so well with our mid century modern theme. Also, the company, Armen Living, has great customer service. One of the stools arrived with no hardware, I called the number on the paper in the box and a real person answered right away, and got my address and send the hardware the next day. As a family, everyone seems to be happy with these barstools.... yeah! They do swivel and they also do NOT hit my counter. The additional good thing is that they do not leave you feeling like you are being 'pushed' forward off the seat. They sit comfortably. That is what my husband was really looking for as we have had barstools that left you feeling like you were going to slide off forward. But not with these. Good buy!! ... show more

The assembly was super easy because each stool was mostly assembled except for securing the seat to the legs with 4 screws & rubber washers. We have one stool we assembled that had a noticeable flaw. There was a gap on the right side looking at the stool where the back is attached to the seat bottom. My PHD husband popped the screw cover off and tighten the screw & replaced the cap & it’s perfect. Also even though the weight specification is 265 lbs. and both my husband & myself are under that the opening to seat is narrow and not as comfortable as it could be. But these stools are the right height for me and very attractive. ... show more

These have a fairly low maximum weight capacity, which would make them less than ideal if you expect them to undergo heavy use. But they look classy, true to the photo, and are easy to assemble. (Less than 5 minutes) If you plan to reupholster these, then you are out of luck. I don't see any place to remove the cushions. But if you are happy with the faux leather, then you'll like these. I can't comment on the durability of the finish or hardware yet, but will amend if I see any issues in the future. ... show more

    • Nice Stool But...

The Good News - These are actually very attractive stools. The assembly is as easy as inserting four bolts into threaded holes under the seat and takes less than a minute. Each leg has a leveling foot to handle any rocking you might encounter. The stools seem well made yet are not too heavy to move around as needed. Also, the dark brown leather on the seat and back cushions looks great and with the bent wood complets the MCM look. The Bad News – It took the rocket scientists at Amazon four attempts to actually get me two 30-inch-high stools! This was such a comedy of errors that even the local USPS Letter Carrier knew the saga and by the time he delivered the third incorrect height (26-inch-high) stool, knew it was wrong AGAIN! Final Verdict – We love the stools and do recommend them BUT, try to find anyone else who sells them! Amazon fulfillment obviously could care less what they ship out to you! ... show more
