No assembly needed, just take it out of the box and remove the protective material used for shipping and you have a nice comfortable counter stool to sit on. I was going to have the frame painted a different color to customize it but the stainless steel frame looks better than I thought. I purchased two of them. They tuck nicely under the counter. The price was very reasonable, although the counter stool is very sturdy, I don’t think the stitching on the cushion will last...But I can get it reupholstered if needed. I had to look elsewhere for some stools when a previous set of chairs did not work out with the table pictured. I came across these stools and have been pleasantly surprised. I ordered the 26 inch first, but wanted more height above my table, so I exchanged them for the 30 inch. I am glad I did. They are incredibly sturdy and comfortable. They are sleek, cool and compact.     • Brings style to the kitchen.
The cooktop island in our kitchen has an overhang on one side which is suited for a couple of stools. A breakfast bar, a place for a quick bite to eat, etc. These stools bring a level of contemporary style to the kitchen. The upholstery seems durable (we have two white stools) and the overall construction seems very good. One thing, we have hardwood floors and the stools slide very easily on the floor. You need to be careful, especially if children are sitting on a stool. I haven’t figured out a solution to this minor issue, so far. I gave four stars on “sturdiness” because of this. They came assembled which is a plus. Definitely recommend them if you are wanting to bring a certain contemporary feel to your room. Great stool! The footrest is exactly the right height! I can sit and work on my laptop at my counter height island for hours without any strain on my back. The padded seat is very comfortable. When not in use, they sit under the counter out of sight! Best stools ever!

They are very cool looking stool, no assembling required, very sturdy! I took away one star because the design has a flaw. The footrest is so low that even my man who's 6ft tall won't be able to rest on it, design is there, not practicality! Overall I still love the look, maybe not for comfort, ha!

I chose these stools because of their sleek appearance but I was concerned that they might not be comfortable since they are backless. I was very pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they are, even after sitting for long periods of time. The footrests and the thick seat cushions are a great combination. We saw these on another site and of course Amazon was less expensive. Arrived early and we love them. Perfect complement to our modern house. And no assembly. Perfect height. Comfortable even without a back. Highly recommend.
