Bought it, put it together, threw it on my car and drove from Ohio to Colorado with it loaded w bins of clothes and some other stuff then drove back…. It’s still on the car and did its job. ONLY BAD THING I can say is the brackets to hold the rack to my cross bars didn’t work… instead of bolts it they give you a U shaped rod of metal that has threaded ends for nuts and washers but it wasn’t long enough. Could’ve been my fault for not making sure it fit before ordering but this was remedied by being a man and figuring it out with some parts from the hardware store like some longer bolts, some metal peices & making it work. To be safe I did also ratchet strap the rack to the cross bars for the long trip but as of now it is only held by the brackets and seems to be just fine.

The construction is great and easy to build. The bad side of it, is the instruction illustrations are extremely tiny and had to figure a few things out. The other thing is that ARKSEN’s Bars were not lining with the Cross Bars and so had to improvise to make it fit.

This metal roof basket by Arksen is a great buy with the included bag, net and straps. It was easy to assemble and looks great on my van. I now have a lot of extra space for items when I'm traveling and when I don't need it I can easily remove it.

Update: received a response from Shirley a rep of Align the seller after numerous messages from other reps there. Shirley actually looked at the pics I sent and figured out that I was installing it wrong as the written instructions from Arksen wasn’t helpful. She sent me detailed pics on how to properly install the rack Hooray followed the pics and now I have it installed. Thanks to Shirley for not giving up and double checking the pics. I still have not received response from Arksen itself but the seller was outstanding in helping me. Ordered it on 11/20/25 after I reached out to arksen to make sure it would fit my roof rack that comes with the 2025 Pathfinder Rock Creek but since receiving I have not been able to install it as the square U bolts are too short to reach the wing nut (need a bolt that’s at least 3 inch in height) after putting the included bolt and bracket that came with the kit. I reached out to Arksen 3 times (no response)and the seller (just wants me to keep sending pics) but have not received any help from them.

If you are looking for a lightweight roof rack to load cargo, I suggest this one because it's universal fit and fits on most SUVs and it's weightless. It took me about 30 minutes to install it on my Subaru and it was so simple. Furthermore, it comes with a cargo bag, and it's water and dustproof. All straps are included which makes your cargo secure. Highly recommended.
