    • Works ok once I fixed problems
FedEx shipping must have liked it because they took 2-1/2 weeks to get it to me. Then after a few hours assembly time, I tried to move it under its own power. It wouldn't move at all. Auger would turn but wheels wouldn't. Turned out the traction drive belt was completely off the clutch pulley and partly off the pulley that drives the hydraulic pump. I had to remove the clutch pulley to have any chance of getting access to the pump pulley. Lots of struggle and colorful language later, I found the easy way to do it. Put a socket wrench on the bolt that retains the engine pulley and turn it backwards. Half a turn and the belt was where it belonged. Replacing the clutch pulley with belt was much easier than removing it. Just put the bolt in backwards with the nut on the end towards the engine. And yes, it does clear. So now I'll wait for snow and wonder if Ariens really does have anything resembling quality control. ... show more
