  • Some Assembly required
Great service from vendor, quick and timely delivery. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet. The instructions could use some improvement from Ariens themselves. Pictures were a bit deceiving, making assembly more time consuming. Plan on a few hours for assembly.

  • Snow Blower has lots of power, steers very easy. and oh yeah blows snow like crazy
This is a great snow blower, took about 2-3 hours to fully assembly, I am very pleased with the purchase, Had it out today with a 5-6 inch of fresh snow, and it worked beautifully. My only complaint is that if the engine is running (idle) not blowing snow, the engine rpms ramps up/dwn, like the govenor conitnually kicks in/out. If I move the run/choke knob toward the choke position, the rpm will level out and run steady. Engine has only ran 1-2 hours total, and i put stablizer in the fuel, and shut the fuel knob off and run dry whenever i shut down, I have seen many others with this same issue on some internet forums, they say the carb runs too lean. ... show more

  • Best snowblower
This is my second 28 pro. My older 7 year old still running strong. This one looks almost the same, bit better actually. Packaged very well. Easy assembly, if you have tools.

  • Ariens is the best.
I moved to Michigan last summer. I ordered my Pro 28 from my local Ariens retail farm and implement dealer. When I picked it up, I was very impressed at the lengths the dealer went to prep my snow blower for delivery for me. Axle spindles treated with Anti Seize, impeller kit installed, aftermarket Armor skids, hour meter installed, all metal surfaces treated with Surface Shield and WD-40, fuel cut off valve installed, and a tank full of Premium ethanol free gasoline with stabilizer added. We spent close to 2 hours starting and stopping the unit, running the unit, adjusting the 1st gear walking speed, (out of the crate, 1st gear was a bit fast for me) and getting used to the locations and positions of all of the levers and knobs and what they all do. I've taken delivery of cars with less instruction. And does it blow snow!!!!!! Holy smokes!!!! In my 71 years, this is my first snow blower, and I put a lot of research into the purchase. We've had a couple of 4" to 8" snow falls since delivery and I'm shocked at how easy the machine is to start and maneuver and the distance with which it throws snow. The canopy enclosure is wonderful when the wind is blowing hard, and snow is swirling everywhere. I expect this to be my first and last snow blower purchase. Airens, ya done great. ... show more

  • The most capable snowblower I’ve owned
The media could not be loaded. So far, this machine has been amazing. Though a little pricey, it hasn’t disappointed, and we’ve had some very wet snow(one storm this machine was slinging slush and water 20-30 feet with ease). Only a few minor complaints so far; the speed setting “1” was too fast for some snow, which I adjusted the bottom of the rod attached to the speed selector lever, and this slowed it down to a nice crawl for the heavy leavings from the town plow truck at the end of the driveway. The other minor problem is the lever to swing the chute swings so easy it’s almost hard to make minor changes on the fly, I’m hoping to find a way to make this a little less twitchy. The last complaint is almost silly, but the lever to adjust the discharge chute deflector always feels upside down, lever up to deflect it down, lever down to send it to the moon. Other than that, it’s great! The 420 is on the loud side, but starts easy and has all the power I need, but still does my huge driveway on a single tank. Ariens really seems to have moving snow pretty well figured out, I’ve had several different makes of snowblower, this is my first ariens, and it outperforms anything I’ve owned whether it’s light fluffy, sleet, wet and heavy, or even rain soaked slush/water(video), this machine gets it done(even when the neighbors machines couldn’t)! ... show more
