I grew up in Rochester NY where 100 inch winters are common. I have had many snow blowers over the years. This Ariens Platinum SHO 30 inch blower is the best I have used..by far. It starts easily, handles wet snow well, throws snow very far, eats free ice with no problem, steers very easily and seems to run for a long time on gas. It is a snow beast that handles easily. Auger belts shredded and burned within 30 minutes of the first use. See photo. Ariens won't take it back; they only say "call a dealer". Local dealer charges $200 to pick it up and it is not covered by warranty. Piece of junk with terrible customer service. Wish I never heard of Ariens.

It handles everything! This is my second Ariens machine, and they’re top-notch. Took about 2 hours to assemble, but after doing it once, it’ll only take 30 minutes the next time. Great blower if you want to get the snow out of your yard, and into the neighbor’s across the street!
