Fantastic snowblower. The self-assembly isn't too bad, but more of a pain than you might think, especially for one person. Confusing diagrams with no words. But not too bad and once you've got it going it's a great machine.

    • Warning: Get a charger for the internal EFI battery system. Won't start without a charge.
Doesn't ship with charger for EFI battery system and it doesn't start with this battery depleted. Not evident in searches on web, in fact, it is hard to find anything on YouTube or other channels to give this simple explanation. Very poor design for identifying where to plug in a charger if you even have one. Not an elegant design. For this money, it should ship with the simple charger. Disappointing!     • WOULDN’T START OUT OF THE BOX!
Product wouldn’t start right out of the box, so I emailed the seller, and they told me that Ariens asked me to bring it to a local dealer to get it serviced and wouldn’t allow me to return it. I called my local dealer, who told me there’s a charge to pick it up and return it, which is not covered by the warranty! He then mentioned that I probably put stale gas in it and that the warranty would be voided if that was the case, almost like he was trying to set me up to void the warranty. Since I had put brand new gas in it, I knew that wasn’t the case, but it gave me the feeling that something shady is going on with their warranty service. If you read online, you will see that the throttle body assembly goes bad on these often, so I bought one for $300, put it on and it runs now. If I had read Consumer Reports I would have seen that I could’ve bought a higher rated competitor for much less money. DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY PRODUCT FROM ARIENS! ... show more
