  • DOES NOT START OR RUN!! DO NOT BUY!!
DOES NOT WORK!! After two (2) full days of sone assembly; then exhaustive effort, reading Ariens manuals--supplied with this unit, and then online research--found service manual for this EFI model, and repeated troublevshooting, we CANNOT START THE ENGINE!! I have asked to return this unit, and Amazon is now saying "no returns" for this item. I was just last efening able to contact the seller--and seller replied promptly, saying a tech will contact me today. Waiting & hoping. Should not be this difficult with a BRAND NEW, top brand snow thrower!! And, I should add, that we here are all quite literate and quite well experienced with extensive & hands-on mechanical, auto & small engine matters! I mow regret buying this on Amazon, should have bought from a SERVICING Ariens dealer locally!! ALSO--see attached photo of control panel--ops guide labeling for gearing/speed and chute deflection levers is UPSIDE DOWN!! Can't just remove, flip & re-install as levers would be wrong!! WTF Ariens!!! ... show more

  • Great blower and super quick shipping
Arrived on a skid within a couple days of ordering. Very impressed for a delivery this size with truck delivery. The Ariens blower is great. I had the same model from 10 years ago (sold it when I moved), and this one even better - with EFI, which makes it hard to bog down with snow piles. :-) 2020-02 Update: The locking barrel with key jammed, and blower wouldn't turn off - even with prying the key out. Replaced the key barrel with a waterproof switch, and works again. Must have been a bad part, so I hope that's the only one. Other than that, blower still works great and happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Optimistic about this purchase, we'll see...
I purchased this machine at Lowes in January of 2026 in advance of a big storm. I haven't used the machine yet but I read a lot of negative reviews on Amazon after the purchase (stupid move). I was able to start the machine without issue after adding gas and following the directions for starting. I will update this review after I use the machine this week. I am extremely apprehensive after reading all of these reviews! Giving it 3 stars, I am an optimist. A few suggestions for others: - Have the snowblower assembled wherever you buy it, assembly is difficult with lousy instructions. - When you pick up the thrower, check to be sure they supply you with the 2 keys. - When you pick up the thrower, check to make sure they filled the engine oil (and check it before every use). - When you pick up, make sure that the engine is not seized; Gently use the pull start to make sure the engine turns over. - Pick up extra shear pins, you will need them; they don't provide any extra pins with a brand new $1900 machine! - Use Stabil to treat your gas. I use the marine brand of Stabil w/ 92 octane gasoline. - Run the engine out of gas completely at the end of the season. - I wish I had purchased the extended warranty after reading all of the negative reviews. - And, finally, maybe this suggestion doesn't belong here, but be extremely careful when unjamming the auger blades! Best of luck to anyone who decides to purchase this model. ... show more

  • awful technology
I purchased the ariens commercial model deluxe series EFI for my business. This new Electronic Fuel Injection technology is supposed to make things easier. I have had my snow blower at home for 15 years and have never had a problem. I should have stayed with the older technology. Unfortunately, the snow blower failed to start after 1 small snowstorm. I had to pay a service to clean the snow. Customer service has been unresponsive. ... show more

  • Constant issues, broken driveshaft during the start of its 3rd winter
The media could not be loaded. Gas cap has faded and cracked, crankcase vent hose crumbling, vents oil, i have to wiggle the wiring from the battery to get the injector to actually prime the carburetor then push the starter button at the same time and that only works sometimes, theres no fuel drain so i have to siphon the fuel out of the tank if i need to stand it on end to service. this is its third winter it has never seen abuse, always kept under cover now the clutch disk hex shaft has snapped off at the sprocket while driving it across the yard not even under load. Part is $20 but reviews say buy two because it’ll keep breaking. Now its up on blocks till i get parts meanwhile im using my 35 year old MTD that starts on the second pull and never lets me down ... show more

  • No srart after just one use!
I bought the snowblower on 3/13/23. There wasn't much snow left accept for piles here and there that hadn't melted yet. Tried it on a small pile and Snow blower worked phenomenal throwing snow extremely far considering it was heavy wet snow. Topped it off with stabilize fuel and put it away for next winter. I charged the battery every 3 month like the directions say to do. Took it out December of the same year to make sure it would start and nothing. Just cranks and cranks. Checked for codes and there were none. Now I have to pay to have it picked up and dropped off from a certfied Ariens dealer at my cost to have it looked at. I searched youtube and found this to not be uncommon. Stay away from the EFI model. They obviously have not perfected it yet! ... show more

  • Best snowblower, ever…?
This is the best snow blower I’ve ever owned and used. Once properly setup and adjusted (including low psi in the tires - like 8) it cleans and throws snow like a dream. It takes a 45 minute job and makes it 20. The EFI is also completely awesome and is the way of the future - starts on first pull, and adds power to the engine when it bogs down. So it makes the 305cc seem like an even larger engine. I live in Park City, Utah, and we have seen a couple 600” winters over the last 10 years and I’ve done a lot of snowblowing. Prior to this model I had a $3200 Honda HS928,. This Ariens Deluxe 30 at about $1800 smokes the old Honda — not even in the same ball park. It also has awesome traction on hills - tracks on a snowblower aren’t needed if the snowblower has the correct settings and adjustability, and this one does. The only issues are the throttle control knob needs some resistance. I used a small drip of silicone then a razor blade, to add a nice little “rubber” seeming resistance to kee the know in place. Other than that, 5 stars 110% approved. ... show more
