The 2 things I was concerned about buying a zero turn....holding on hillsides, and sitting close to a dust sucking mower deck. this one holds good on hillsides and does not vacuum up small rocks and dust like a mower with a shallow deck. Very happy with this unit.

    • Way too expensive for this mower. To be competitive the price should be around 3,000.
$3000 is the price of these mowers, this is way too much

    • Almost commercial grade zero turn
This mower is expensive but worth it when u consider the $3000 zero turn mowers have thin 10 gauge steel decks and the bottom line non rebuildable 2200 hydros. The Ariens Apex has a 10 gauge deck and the rest of the mower is built like a tank. In terms of hydros it has the top of the line residential 3100 rebuildable hydros. So yes it is expensive but it is one of the best residential mowers u can get. ... show more
