I went to a physical store to try on boots before I bought, so I had the luxury of getting to know the brand before I bought it. Ordering one half size smaller was what I learned by trying on boots at the physical store. This allowed me to order boots and get the right size the first time. If you normally wear a size 9 wide, order an 8.5 EE, and you won't be disappointed. I love the fit. I love the fact that they are steel toe which is required where I work. I love that I am not bent over for 10 minutes every morning lacing up my boots any more. I can get my dressed in under a minute and be walking toward the door, ready to take on the day. The boots are Ariat so quality isn’t in question of course. They are a nice boot! The color is def darker than the picture showed but still very nice looking. This is actually the 2nd pair I ordered. I ordered the first pair and got an expected shipping date of about 2 weeks after purchase and for whatever reason I got an email saying they could not fulfill order due to stock. I got back on Amazon and that exact boot still showed available so I ordered and it came within a week. Not sure what the deal was with my first order but the second one was smooth ... show more

Well I'm not a huge fan of rate everything.... But, this is my second pair of these boots. I had the first pair for a little over a year before they got cut on steel stud and ruined. In that year I wore them over 14 hours a day some days 18 hours. They stayed comfy. They arrived on time for like they should. Over time in my line of work (carpenter) all the time spent kneeling down on my knees and crawling in crawlspace cracked up the rim on top of the sole enough to make them water resistant instead of water proof. But even then working in 14 degree weather and freezing rain they kept my feet comfortable even when they soaked through my feet were still warm enough. The composite toe is great! Doesn't freeze in winter doesn't roast in summer. Like I said comfy 17 degrees wet to 100 plus summer temps still good. Did a roofing job with loads of tar on them (each one weighed 5 lbs at least) and after scraping and stripping with chemicals the leather survived. They moulded to my feet well enough that I was able to walk on joisting while doing sub floor with no problem (I actually got into argument with boss over my not wearing a harness because it was unsafe). ... show more
