Description

Growing up on a working horse farm in Pennsylvania, I was one of eight kids and spent my childhood surrounded by animals – horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats. I have a special memory of sitting in front of the TV in 1973, watching Secretariat win the Kentucky Derby. He went on to win the Triple Crown, setting records that still stand today. Secretariat’s big heart and competitive spirit were the motivations behind naming our company Ariat. Ariat was founded as “The New Breed of Boot.” We were the first to integrate athletic footwear technology into boots for equestrian athletes. Today, our world-class product team builds innovative and award-winning performance products for all types of outdoor and work environments. We are honored to be a part of your story and thank you for being part of ours.

  • Great boots
Size: 9.5 Color: Bruin Brown
I was iffy on buying them based off of the reviews but my company gives us a $200 boot allowance so I figured I’d try them. I always oil my boots but I didn’t have a chance to before I had to wear them. My first job in them was a 17.5 hr shift I work on conveyors in quarries And the top of the boot was chafing my shins and the back of my leg they kept pulling down my socks as I walked. I ended up stuffing rags around the top and I was fine after that. 17.5 hrs in mud and water my feet got wet through the boots. Not soaking wet just a little damp just enough I could feel it but that’s also 17.5 hrs constantly standing in mud which is very good considering I wasn’t able to oil them (piling them helps waterproof). But at the end of shift when I got home my feet had a little bit of an ache nothing crazy still better then my Double H boots I had before. So I ended up finally being able to Oil my boots the next day before I left for another job. Once I did that and got my over the calf socks it was game over 100% best boots I’ve owned My second job with them was at a lime stone mine and it was on concrete and again 16 hr shift and if you work on concrete you know it’ll kill your feet. I got home pulled my boots off and again just a little ache and my lower back wasn’t tight at all. But anyhow the point of this review is I work in crazy environments every day and they’ve been great boots I’ve been in mud, on concrete, on cat walks, climbing up and down conveyor structures, and at the end of the day now that they’re finally broken in I have zero pain in my feet I could wear these all day no issues. I ordered a half size down. People were complaining about them being hard to pull your feet out. I like that you don’t want to step in a mud hole and your boot come off or to be walking up a hill or something and slide around in your boot. You should always oil your boots before you wear them it helps relax the leather and water proof them I feel like that was the issue a lot of people were having them being too tight. And I’m sure oil would solved some of them complaints. Also just as a note it’s been in the 30s-40s here and my feet have stayed warm I haven’t had issues with my feet getting cold and that’s the first thing that gets cold on me besides my hands. ... show more

  • Well built. Well built.
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Bruin Brown
A heavy quality boot. Alittle loose around the shin but fits well in the ankles so it’s not an issue for me. I wear a pair of Alpaca wool socks and my feet stay warm and dry in the snow and rain. A very stabile feel. I actually bought a pair of their insoles for $35 not knowing it was the same one that comes in the boot. I did have to buy a pair of shin pads because the breaking in period will bruise up your shin. I put mink oil on them for a conditioner. A bit pricey but I plan to get some time out of them so worth it imo. Time will tell and if they don’t holdup I will be back to say as much. ... show more

  • Horrible Boots
Size: 12 Wide Color: Bruin Brown
HELL NO! Do not buy these boots. Like other reviewers have stated they are a absolute pain in the azz to put on. I literally avoid taking them off in the middle of the day to avoid having to struggle getting them back on. The pull handles on the boots have already ripped off by having to pull soo dang hard to get them on. These crappy boots have only been used 5 months and the soles have worn like they are made of cardboard. This wouldn't be soo upsetting if i paid $100 for these things but I gave up $350 plus tax for these pieces of #%@&. For god sake I had a $70 pair of work boots from Walmart that lasted over a year and held up better than these and they actually slipped on with ease. For this much money you just expect something premium but instead you get ripped off. I got hooked by the look of these boots, don't make the same mistake. This is my first pair of Ariats and definitely my last. ... show more

  • Great Boots by Ariat
Size: 11 Color: Bruin Brown
Some have had bad luck with Ariat boots from what I have read in the reviews . For me I have had zero issues with them . Comfortable and water resistant . I have wore them in ankle deep water for periods of time and feet stayed dry . I work in a manufacturing plant in maintenance . I spend 10+ hours on my feet ranging from concrete floors to working on the property in dirt , mud and so forth . From my personal experience you spend a little more you get more mileage out of your boots . My day can consist of welding and fabrication to plumbing , framing and preventative maintenance of heavy equipment . Good buy and like the toe cap prevents the toe from wearing out faster . ... show more

  • Work boots
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Bruin Brown
These boots are rock solid. I got the mix of a boot that looks like the a classic leather look with some rubber coating on the right places where scratches might occur.. Honestly, they look a little space age or forward looking into the future. Use the sizing chart that I printed I got the right size right from the get-go. I typically wear a $500 tactical boot but wanted to try something a little different. One of my favorite parts of the boot is the sewing that attaches the edges of the boot to the sole. That’s hard to find a boot that’s this price. Don’t forget some longer socks as the top of the boot will hit the skin on your legs, and the leather is very thick. I paired this with a buckle from the same company a leather belt some rodeo jeans and a snap button rodeo shirt. I also found on Amazon. In the past, I would’ve had to go to the store at the green silos or a country store to get items like this. I could see these biits being used on an oil rig. ... show more

  • Great boot but not as durable sole material Great boot but not as durable sole material
Size: 9.5 Color: Bruin Brown
I would rate these at a 4.5. The boots are very durable in most areas and strong material and are good for the industrial maintenance work I do. I do not find them to be as comfortable for me as the Ariat work hog boots, but it may just be their fit on me and they are very tight at first so used mink oil to try to loosen them up and break them in which took about a month of wearing while at work but I also wear thick socks. The other issue I have is the heel of these boots wears down very quickly to me compared to the workhog boots. 2 of the images show the wear after approximately 6 months of wear for work totaling 82 days of wear as I work 3 12s and 4 12s varying weeks. The other 2 images show the wear after 2 months of use on the warranty replacement boots Ariat sent me and with wearing the boots for a total of 28 days (2 month) total just for work. For comparison it took almost 4 years for me to wear my workhog boot heels down to no tread at the edge of the heel and that was operating a front end loader every day as well as maintenance and welding. These boots the heel wore down at the edges in about 2 months with no heavy equipment operations. Ariat does have great customer service though and did give me a replacement pair when I brought up the heel issue and I thought it was just maybe a bad mold or flawed rubber but as you can see in the picture they are even wearing down rather quickly. So for the price difference I personally will stick with the workhog boots but I will say these are great durable boot minus the heel wear issue so far. ... show more

  • Extreme Work Boot! Extreme Work Boot!
Size: 10.5 Color: Bruin Brown
I have to say that I have owned a pair of these for over a year and put them through some serious use. They’re still holding up great. That being said I have bought a good number of boots that claim to be tough. I went through red wings toughest boot in about 7 months. I have gotten 2 pairs for the price of one for a few years at RW, but I finally gave up on them. For that kind of money I’d say go with Carolinas, Rockies, Justin’s, wolverines, or one Ariat’s other work boots. But if you want the toughest boot out there this is it. Recently I put these on the price alert app. A week after doing so I woke up to a notification saying these boots were on sale for $149. I thought it was a typo or glitch. So I ordered myself 2 more pairs. Couldn’t pass up that deal. Just received them today. If it was a typo then somebody stayed true to their mess up. I looked the next day and the deal was over. Glad I ordered them. I inspected them, everything is perfect. So I basically got 2 for the price of 1. Great boots. Worth normal cost, but glad I was able to get an outstanding deal on them. ... show more

  • Doesn't last longer for the price different. Save your money
Size: 12 Wide Color: Bruin Brown
Hasn’t lasted but about 7 months. The inner sock liner is coming out of one of the boots and makes it impossible nearly to remove it. For the price I expected more then life expectancy by a little at least. The outside of the boots still look great and soles not it bad shape yet either. But for the price I’ll go back to my normal ariats for $180 and know that I can get around 12 months out of a pair. Save you money it’s not worth the gamble. There not anymore comfortable then the regular work hog boots. I only bought this hoping it would last longer seeing how the toes and sides are usually gone by 12 months. ... show more
