This book was one if my son’s favorites. I just bought it for a great niece. Fifty years later it’s still a great book.

  • A funny & timeless classic S & J Berenstain Bears story
"The Bike Lesson" is one of my favorite Berenstain Bears stories from my childhood. Not to say that some of the more modern stories from the 1980s to the present aren't good. They are, but the stories that were written & illustrated from the 1960s and 1970s were (are still are) the best & funniest. Always like the morals & life lessons in these books. My family and I still laugh at their antics (especially with Papa Bear). LOL. ... show more

  • Most enjoyable book to read to the kids!
We use to read this book to our own kids and of course got rid of things like that many years ago. While reading other things to the grandkids I remembered one line from this book and started saying it to them which they have since memorized..."Not yet not yet not yet my son. First come the lessons, then the fun. How to get on is lesson one" I then went in search of it and found it on Amazon. It's my favorite book to read to them and they all know that and ask for it every time they are at my house and go down for naps or nighttime. It's just fun! ... show more

  • A dad who is explains too much
This is a good story about a son who just wants to ride his bike, but the father wants to give him about 7 lessons that all go terribly wrong. Finally the battered father gives in, and the son rides them both home on the bike to the welcoming and knowing smile of his mother.
