When I purchased this bleeder cap. it was no info about my vehicle so I took a chance. 2021 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 4X4 5.7L I’m replacing the complete OEM rear brakes for a rear big brake kit with calipers, Rotors Slotted and drilled and ceramic pads. I’m using my Motive power bleeder and this cap is just amazing the craftsmanship and quality is incredible. Fully adjustable. Very satisfied. Since I’m bleeding and replacing all the system because I have the TRD Front Big brake rotors and calipers will make it a 1 person job. Recommended for any power bleeders. Worked like a charm on my 2018 Honda Pilot. I used it with my schwaben pressure brake bleeder, replaced the European master cylinder adapter with this adapter and worked great.

So, I had been trying to bleed the clutch on my 02 Toyota Tacoma, with only limited success. The old fashioned "two person" method would only work so well... So, I decided to bring some power to the task.. I am MOTIVE-ated to mention that I tried a different branded product first, and was so unimpressed that I had to return it. So, I decided to try the ARES brand power bleeder, maybe this time I would have better results. Of course, I had to purchase this adapter to fit the master cylinder of my Toyota Tacoma. It seems that no matter which power bleeder you buy, if you have a Toyota, you must purchase an adapter to fit your master cylinder. This one seemed expensive, but, as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. I an MOTIVE-ated to mention that the other company's adapter was a complete JOKE. They apparently don't make an adapter specifically made to fit Toyota vehicles. (At least they didn't when I tried them) They sold me a "universal" adapter that was supposed to be held in place (and hold pressure?!) by wrapping a couple of small pieces of swingset chain around the master cylinder. THIS adapter actually fits a Toyota master cylinder and secures with a collar and pin that not only hold the adapter fast, but allow for adequate pressure to be built in order to properly power bleed your hydraulic clutch or brakes. It might seem a little pricey, but IT WORKS! ...and it perfectly fits both the clutch and brake system master cylinders... ... show more

    • Solid adapter. Can “adapt” to fit mityvac also.
I have a mityvac bleeder set. But I didn’t realize when I ordered it that mityvac doesn’t have an adapter for Honda. Besides the generic multiuse one they have that you can more or less make work on anything long as you have room to work with. But that is a real pain to setup and you can’t always make it fit. So I did some digging and this was more or less the only Honda specific adapter out there that’s built solid. I have another pump that I generally use for diffs and tran services from oem tools I believe and it uses this same adapter. And that works well but I wanted to make it work with my mityvac so I don’t have to waste time switching out the fluids and etc. At the time when I bought those two pumps they were the only ones on Amazon really and I wish I had this brand as an option then. But anyways mityvac uses two different size fittings on their adapters, there is a different style coupling that will not work with these. However you are able to unscrew the fitting on the adapter and I was able to swap it out so it works with my mityvac pump like all my other adapters. It’s really sad mityvac is so expensive but doesn’t offer a real adapter for Honda that works. I don’t mind paying for it, this adapter is expensive but it’s worth it. It’s built well and works. It’s kind of a pain to get in place sometimes. And it can be messy. Make sure you suck out the master cylinder and then leave plenty of room to insert this tool because it will make a giant mess otherwise. Glad this tool is available on the market. ... show more

Size: Universal Master Cylinder Adapter
I used this on my Toyota Sienna and I could not finish the job. It either pops off under pressure and sprays fluid everything (wear goggles!) or it will leak all over the place. This was just at the recommended 10 PSI. I had to hold it down with my hand. It was terribly messy. The lip on the fluid reservoir on the Sienna just doesn't go out far enough to let this thing grab down securely. It is high quality and sturdy though. It's just not going to work on this car. ... show more
