I used this rope to pull down several dead trees. The rope didn’t stretch too much as I expected, but it is very strong. I would buy it again. The rope frayed and eventually broke while pulling down a particularly difficult dead tree from a bad angle. The fraying was caused from a cheap pulley that has since been replaced. I lost a few feet of rope, but the end of the rope healed nicely with a small flame. The rope will get more use this weekend with some high quality snatch blocks.     • Not bad, okay for beginners arborists. Perfect for rock climbing...
I am just began to be an arborist, yet I know a little about ropes from rock climbing. This is not that bad. It's a little stiff and milks very little also. I used a blake's hitch and the rope milked very little, however I tried using a french prusik and it milked really bad. It held the fisherman's and figure eight pretty good. I used it as my primary line and felt safe holding my 190 lb weight. I did not notice any stretch and thickness was just right. Oh, I also cut a piece and used it for a blake's hitch, no go. It did not hold to its self. I had to use a piece of my other cheap rigging rope and then it worked. They also sent a carabiner with no KN markings. So I don't trust it and use it to hold my extra carabiners in the bag to keep them organized. ... show more

    • Initial impressions are good.
This is review is based on first impressions. The rope appears to be of good quality, with a durable sheath and good flexibility. I like that the rope comes with a locking steel carabiner. I will update this after my initial use.

The 1/2” rope I purchased is very strong, has great durability and sturdiness. Good for arborist work or rock climbing. It was reasonable pricing and I received my package faster than the expected delivery date.

As a tree trimmer in Florida, I harness and secure myself for each cut. This is the best rope I've come across to use as both a safety device and climbing tool. The thread seems to be able to take plenty of abuse. No heat or friction wear after a quick rappel. It got more pliable and easier to loop after I broke it in a bit.
