  • Overall good system... some things to note-
Size: 48,000 Grains
In general, I've had a good experience with this system. I am very experienced in plumbing as well as softeners and filters, so I thought I'd share some notes about this system: 1) The instructions are VERY lacking for the inexperienced when it comes to the plumbing you need to purchase to install this. It makes no recommendations nor provides guidance on connections, pipe vs supply line, plastic vs copper or iron etc. If you don't have simple to moderate plumbing skills, you shouldn't undertake this on your own. 2) When initially filling and purging the large KDF filter, fill it SLOWLY. I filled it at a trickle, and opened the valve to the nearest tub very slowly and still got what looked like 1-2 gallons of black paint flushing out of it. I don't even know if there's anything left in it. The instructions are very scarce on this step or what to expect. Make sure you have the softener on bypass when you do this, or you'll run all of that carbon through your resin bed. 3) I installed a water-meter right before the KDF filter so I can keep a running total of the gallons run through it (how else would I know when it has filtered a million gallons?). Using that meter, it shows that a softener regen using the default values uses approx 80 gallons of water. This seems extreme, and the only guidance provided for most of the settings is that you should leave them at default. They don't explain at all how different water types (well vs city, iron vs no-iron etc) can utilize very different settings than the default and still do a great job. A brine-draw of 60 minutes is excessive for most water considering the brine is all drawn in the first 5-10 minutes anyways. Overall, it seems to be a quality system with above average components. I haven't had it installed long enough to provide a review of performance over time, but I will update good or bad. It's 10 steps above the 15-year old cabinet style 32k that was installed in my 1970's home, and the price is great for the size and quality of the system. ... show more

  • Don’t waste your money.
Size: 48,000 Grains
I purchased this system last year at the beginning of the pandemic, because my house has really hard, nasty water with a lot of chemicals. I used a PPM (parts per million) reader to test the raw water, which registered my water at 542 PPM. I also tested my neighbors treated water, which registered 35 PPM’s. My neighbor purchased a local water treatment system, which is clearly working. After I installed the system, I again tested the raw water from the outside faucet, prior to treatment. The water agin registered 545 PPM. I then tested the water from the sink, this was now treated water coming in to the house, treated by the Aquasure system. The water quality went dow to 505 PPM. Given the fact that the system was new and the was the possibility that I was testing old water that remained in the pipes, I waited a few weeks and performed the same test. The results were identical. After using a PPM reader, I purchased a water test kit to test the chemicals in my water. I again used the same method as before. I tested the raw water prior to treatment and I tested the water after treatment. The test strips showed no difference between the treated and untreated water. I contacted the company several times, they were quick to return my emails, with no solutions, but to their defense, the company did point out that the package came with a small Reverse Osmosis System. Great, as of this writing, I spent $1,500 dollars on a $150 R. O. System you can buy separately. As far as this, it only lowered my water quality by 40 PPM’s. Also, the head of one of the cylinders cracked. I’ve had a small leak since about two months after installation. This is unacceptable. I contacted the company to demand a refund, but I was denied it. I then asked to at least replace the system with a working one, that request was also denied. If you were in the fence for this system, save your money. ... show more

  • Overall decent product.
Size: 48,000 Grains
Pros: The improvement in water quality is amazing! Cons: The control valve seal took some work to make it work without leaks (took most time during installation). Hopefully it doesn't fail in the future. The control display would of been nicer if the screen brightens in dark. Hard to see without flash light at night. ... show more

I replaced an old system that was at least 10 years old and since I put this new one, now the water stinks of rotten eggs. I reached out to the company but I got nowhere. This is the worst buy I have ever made.
