I've got a 12 x 24 rectangular above ground pool about 9000 gallons. I live in Alabama. If we are lucky we can get in the pool in late April early may. We have been swimming in our pool since the first week of April or about 7 days after my purchase. It took the first week to get the pool up to temperature from 54 degrees to 90 degrees. I turned heat up to see how high I could get it and I got it to 102 degrees and then lowered it back to 90 to make sure it also cools as advertised and put it on the automatic setting and worked perfectly. Set up and connecting to WiFi was very simple. I can control everything from my phone. The initial heat up stage i put it on "boost" heat mode. Comes on and off same as my homes heat pump which is what this is. It also seems very efficient as my hot tub cost more per month to operate. So far very happy with my purchase and of course time will tell. By the way none of my friends, family or neighbors are using their pool yet.

I was leery of buying a pool heater because of the cost and the fact that they all seem to be made in China. I finally bought this pool heater from AquaStrong, because of all the good reviews as far as customer support and their three year warranty. OMG! This company has the best support I’ve ever experienced. They responded to every single email question I could throw at them with good information. Furthermore, I got it installed like they said and plugged it in, and it took off like a dream, no functionality problems whatsoever. At first, I was concerned my HEX035 unit wouldn’t do the job for my 8000 gallon pool. However, overtime it got the water up to a nice comfortable 87°. If you are interested in a inverter/heat pump pool heater I cannot recommend this company enough. The unit seems durable, easy to use and again customer service was remarkable!

So far the unit is heating as it should after we got it going. Our first unit came in the display was cracked and got water in it and did it work. The second replacement unit came rather quickly and we got it hooked up, but it continually trips our GFCI breaker. The electrician that connected it says it’s common for HVAC units to do this and the only way we can run It is to not have it connected to the GFCI which obviously it’s not good. I’ve emailed the company because there’s no phone numbers to call…..That’s the reason for the four star rating as of now is heating well. I’ll update rating as time goes, but it’s very quiet bad Seems to be very efficient and heats quickly. We have a 17,000 gallon in ground fiberglass pool and heating has increased it by 10° in about 10 hours.

So far this has been a terrible purchase. The instructions are really incomplete as you'll see in the photos. Product was delivered quickly, however the packaging was a bit torn at the bottom. When unpacking, I noticed that there was now power cable even thought mine is a HEX035 and rated for 120v. To add to the confusion, the instructions tell you to "plug in" the power cable, but one is apparently not provided according to their support. Their support is a day slow to respond, so don't expect quick response or live help. After 3 more days, I received a "complimentary" power cable, but then as I go back to reference instructions it doesn't tell you what terminals to connect to, not is there enough wiring to power the different terminals. Very confusing. I'll give them another shot to support me as I've sent the attached photos to them asking for guidance. If anyone has experience hooking this up, please let me know. Thanks!

This product was very easy to install and far less expensive than others. Additional one year warranty with product registration or replacement. I could not find a better warranty. I had previously purchased an Armstrong pool pump and was totally satisfied with the product and customer support. This 35,000btu inverter heat pump has only been running for a few days but appears to be working exceptionally well. The wi-fi interface made start up fast and easy. I already had the Tuya app to control my pool lights so the heat pump identified my network through smart connect and added it to my app. Temperature control, start, stop, frequency, refrigerant pressures and full diagnostic info available on my phone from anywhere! Exceptionally quiet! I wasn’t sure the unit was running until I seen the fan spinning. In the coming months I will be excited to see my electric bill because of the high COP of this unit.

I don't think there is much to be impressed with on this heating unit. I stepped up the $$ for 35,000 BTU in order to better heat but generally speaking. it is never putting out more than 2 degrees difference of water temp vs heated return water. Of course that improves as it gets hotter outside (Makes sense - it is drawing outside air to heat) but one cool night, loss of temp and you're starting all over again. Maybe my expectations are too high. Ordering and delivery was flawless aside from UPS setting the unit outside our property gate and leaving an old guy like me to haul it up to the pool :) Overall - I thinkmore or less I got what i paid for - definitley not more.

Had the heater delivered warmed up the pool wonderfully. Set up was easy. Then something happened and it stopped working…. Contacted customer service and they are sending us a new.
