When my plumber suggested I install this to help solve our insanely hard water problems I thought he was nuts. Bought it because of easy installation and just curious, but now I don't think it works and have no scientific reason to believe it works either. Will buy a standard ion exchange water softener now.

I own a AQUA REX it works great the water seems softer and soaps suds up the water still tests hard but i seam to get the softer water no spotting and i don't have to carry 40 lbs bags of salt or worry about the salt water discharge

I bought one of these installed it in november it is now april my shower heads are still clogged and still have calcium build up. I will see how it goes this year with my swamp cooler I bought the WK1-E for my house figured the bigger the better but so far I am wrong. Will update after this summer to see how the swamp cooler calcium build up goes. I live in hesperia ca 92345 if anyone is thinking of buying one.

So far it seems like everything is working well since I installed it. If this continously performs with my expectations, this item works very well specially for seniors. No more carrying and lifting of heavy bags of salt to refill my water softener container for it to work. Less maintenance, and minimal electricity consumption.
