This unit works as expected, It started drying out my basement immediately helping to control the musty odor. This is my second AprilAire E 70, I installed one in my previous home’s crawl space to eliminate moisture and dampness. “Nice unit” easy to install.

    • Powerhouse of a dehumidifier
This unit really does dehumidify. We have it in our 900sq/ft basement and it keeps it and the house dryer then before. We switched from a consumer unit from a big box store to this and the difference is night and day. I hooked up a condensate pump for draining. The noise level of this unit is the only thing I was a little disappointed by. It is a little louder than I expected, but the performance speaks for itself. So far so good. It will shut off when needed and is easy to install. Hard to give it 5 stars as it hasn't been used for two months yet. As energy costs rise need to have both American made and backed products. No more cheap Chinese products for me. Done.

After 20plus years of using portable dehumidifiers of every major brand,and disappointed with every one.Warranties have also dropper from 3-5 years to one.The last unit lasted only 4 months before 5growing E3 error and in process of getting unit replaced.Started to research professional units and found this Aprilaire 70.Very good reviews and good price.Had 2 companies give estimates and both used Aprilaire 7units,best it’s USAMade and 5 yea4 warranty.Installation straight forward and didn’t take much time.Do recommend using the 8 inch flex duct used 25 foot cut in half.Make sure u have a drain and electrical power.Unit quiet and keeps large crawl space/basement at 55%RH and is off most of the time.Absolutely love this unit,wish I would have found earlier-thank u for fabulous product. ... show more
