Overall I think it's worth it if you can swing it if you, like me, just want your technology to work and not give you an additional headache with navigating 47 remotes. This our third Apple TV. Just like with iPhones, Apple lets you know when they want you to spend more money… their products just start wigging out and won’t work properly. Our last one wouldn’t connect to our iPhones to use the remote (because of course the tiny remote vanished into thin air a couple weeks after bringing it home) and the apps would auto scroll all over the place forcing us to shut it down and restart it. It also would get stuck downloading and we couldn’t change to other apps because the iPhone remote would stop working sporadically. This new one is actually freaking awesome. Set up was a breeze because you just hold your phone close to it and it downloads all your info and connects automatically to your WiFi. Apple showed us how pleased they were with our new purchase by causing all the features to work flawlessly. Hopefully they’re happy enough with the money to be compelled to give us at least 5 years before getting thirsty again. Very pleased with this product! ... show more

Everything about the operation of this remarkable streaming device is seamless, intuitive, engaging and fun; in other words pure Apple. Having used nearly every other streaming TV interface, Roku, Google TV built into my previous Sony TV, and two stick devices from a certain major company (they invariably overheat & the picture begins to degrade after a year or so; I'm convinced it's a case of planned obsolescence) nothing compares to the elegance of the Apple TV 4k 64k Wifi I just received & set up last night. I was able to easily add every app with proper credentials, including YouTubeTV, Prime, Max, Disney/Hulu, Paramount+, Spotify. The interface could not be more fun to use, intuitive, and downright brilliant. Using every function is far faster than any similar device due to its astonishingly powerful A15 Bionic chip. I'm running out of superlatives to describe this thing, and being a user of Windows, Android, and other platforms as well as Apple I can confidently state that nothing compares to Apple devices in terms of speed, ease of use, brilliance & simplicity of design, and every other metric.     • Great device, but constant misclicks due to remote design.
Quality of the stream, speed of hardware, user interface are all fantastic. The remote is premium materials BUT the design needs to be changed. Top center of the remote has a ring used as a button for direction controls. In the center is a large, sensitive touch pad. I have smaller fingers and try to press the ring and constantly miss touch the touch pad. Anyone with large fingers you’re gonna have a time haha. I would honestly say half the time I try and use it I end up having to press the button more than required to get to where I want due to all the misclicks due to super sensitive touch pad. Make the ring larger or separate the touch and directional buttons. Update: After a year I have gone from disliking the remote to hating it. If I could smash it I would, but the thing is made SOLID lol. I use my phone and watch and try and forget it exist. ... show more

I love my Apple TV. This is the second one I have bought , for my living room. Super easy to use , lots of cool apps to download and can even play games on it . Definitely recommend over a Roku
