Received the iPad. Didn’t utilize until month later due to it being a gift for someone. So far ipad looks & works great. Unfortunately I wanted to add WiFi hot spot (to be able to connect to the internet anytime) thru my mobile phone carrier like I had b4 but did not realize the ipad needed to have WiFi & cellular capability. Even though I spent a good amount of time researching looking for the right ipad I never came across that info. My cellular phone cmpy couldn’t help me figure out why my iPad had no IMEI #. I messaged the seller (as advised) & was told by the seller where I could find it. Well I knew it could not be found there bcuz I had already looked. However after more research, I found out if an ipad is only listed as “WiFi” and not “WiFi & cellular” then #1 the device HAS NO IMEI # & #2 the device cannot get hot spot wifi. In other words the only way the device can utilize the internet is when it can connect to an available wifi. I asked the seller a direct question abt my device & they gave me a general answer about where to find IMEI # on Apple devices (which did not help me at all), then when I informed the seller abt understanding how devices differ with WiFi only or WiFi & cellular so they can respond appropriately to consumers in the future, they responded by telling me that it was listed when I bought it so basically I should have known what I bought. Their response should have been: I apologize you are having trouble setting up your device. Your device is WiFi only, therefore you will find no IMEI # and you will not be able to add WiFi hot spot thru a cellular provider. In order to do that, you will need to purchase a device that is listed as having “ WiFi & cellular”. In conclusion, I recommend purchasing from another seller since this smarty pants treats their customers poorly when asking for clarity on a product. ... show more
