You have to work these over the rim slowly. They don't have much stretch, but there is enough if you work the stretch over the entire length. Once over the rim, they fit nice and snug and are great protection.

I got these for a bike trailer wheel that came with thin rim tape, and caused a puncher in the tube. These are thicker, wider and made a world of difference. Now I don't have to worry about getting punchers from the wheel spokes.

    • Still cutting/pinching innertube
When they say high pressure I assumed they meant over 50-60 psi. about 60 little over still ending up with the little pin holes where the spokes are on the inside of tube. When I examine the innertube find the hole find 2 to 3 more that are almost puncture all the way through too. I have 110 psi tires and I like to run them high but no luck always blowing my inner tubes. I have a single wall rim on the front double wall rim on the back so with the nipples on top of him he still puncture my tube and when they’re underneath the second wall, they still puncture my tube the pressure pushing down in the holes. Everything is smooth no sharp edges on the spoke nipples on the inside of the rims nothing.. and on top of that I’m using another rim tape underneath this rim tape with a rubber strip, used for protecting the tube from punctures through the tire on top of that still pinching my tubes Only inside where the spokes would be. This is very aggravating I buy high pressure tires so I can use high-pressure tires But I can’t put the high pressure I want them. Got a nice collection of inner tubes that have been pierced pinched whatever you wanna call it. My expensive tires still pretty much brand new, but where I have to change the inner tube so much , the steel bead is breaking breaking free from the tire coming out of the rubber and pretty much brand new tires wasted ruined. Any suggestions ? Because I’m about done after I try Velox rim tape supossed to the be the best high pressure rim tape actually do its job. ... show more

Admittedly I haven't used lots of different rim strips. I always just used whatever thing was on the wheel already. And that has never actually been a good idea with high pressure tires. I now have these and wouldn't use any others. They're hard as hell to get on but once in place I don't think you could ask for a better rim strip. ... show more

thought it was 8$ for one, comes in a pack of two super nice though of course they're hard to put on and a tire lever won't help you most likely as they're to thick. what worked for me was a park tool brake caliper wedge im sure a flathead would work to though (for repositioning it) if its off the valve hole a little bit after initially putting it on.. ... show more
