This was the first time that I have purchased a renewed item. I was so back and forth about it. Reading the reviews was a big help (as it always is). Then the cost savings was substantial. I’m so pleased with my renewed iPad. The battery life is amazing and it performs just as a new one does. There were some superficial scratches on the back side but I use a case so, to me, it is pretty nonexistent. It came with a brand new charging cord and adapter. This is a scam. iPad is locked and can't be used for anything. Doesn't tell you this until they link to your old iPad and wifi so now I'll be changing passwords and watching for sketchy activity.
