This was a good deal. The M1 chip is plenty powerful and having a couple standard USB ports (and USB-C/thunderbolt) is nice. Plugged into an AC Power monitor showed amazingly low power requirements. Only a couple watts. Even after nearly a week it had used less than1kwhr. So for me under $0.40/mo. 24/7. Definitely be sure you get 16GB as apps are memory hogs! Xcode + browser & emulator eat most of that. Mine has 1TB SSD 16GB. Zero heat. Totally quiet. And 5G wifi is fine. Runs latest Mac OS no problem. ... show more

I’ve been using this Mac Mini for a few weeks now and it’s honestly exceeded all expectations. It’s super compact, so it fits perfectly on my desk without taking up space, but don’t let the size fool you — this thing is seriously powerful. I mainly use it for work (lots of browser tabs, Zoom calls, and Adobe apps), and it doesn’t even flinch. Everything is smooth, apps open instantly, and it stays completely silent, even when I’m running multiple things at once. The 1TB of storage is great because I don’t have to worry about juggling external drives, and having 16GB of RAM makes a big difference when switching between tasks. I’ve also done some light video editing and the performance has been buttery. Setup was simple, and the M1 chip just makes everything feel more fluid.
