Description

The Little Giant® Telescoping Plank™ turns your multi-position ladder into trestle-and-plank scaffolding when you attach Trestle Brackets™ to your ladder. The Plank hooks securely to the ladder rungs of the inner and outer section of your ladder to give you a comfortable, solid platform to stand on while you paint, hang drywall or install light fixtures. The Telescoping Plank allows you to replace expensive and labor-intensive scaffolding systems and adjusts to the length you need—available in 6’ to 9’, 8’ to 13’, 9’ to 15’ sizes. The lightweight Telescoping Plank is made from aircraft-grade aluminum and is rated to hold two people with a maximum weight of 500 lbs. Trestle Brackets sold separately.

I have plenty of wood staging planks, but they are HEAVY! I bought this plank to stage a very steep roof (essentially a wall!) that I would be shingling from a pair of ladders and a plank. I was doing this job alone, so I wanted a plank that would be easier to handle by myself, given that I would be making frequent adjustments as I shingled up the roof. Initially, I balked at the price, but this plank was worth every penny. It is adjustable in length, which makes it versatile. It is wider than a wood plank, which makes it more secure and comfortable. Have you ever walked from one end to the other of a wood plank with a twist in it? When it shifts under your feet, it really wakes you up! Better than coffee! None of that nonsense with this plank. It is dead flat. Outstanding 500lb rated telescopic walk board…best bang for the buck out there as far as telescopic goes. Holds two people with combined weight of ballpark 400 lbs with minimal sag even in the middle when let all the way out. I’ll buy the 9-15ft telescopic version next. Well done Little Giant!

After research I decided this is the best one. It is the perfect size and weight. It adjusts much easier than my friends. It has hooks on the end to keep it from sliding off whatever you use it on. Used this plank with the little giant ladder/stepladders. Worked very well, made painting much easier. made it much easier to paint on the hillside, and painting the soffit very easy without moving your ladders all the time.
