I bought this unit and noticed water spot on my glasses and shower glass doors after drying. I called the company and they said because I had a salt-based system before that it was the salt in the water and in a year it would all be clear. It is now 2019...7 years later and the spots still are visible after drying. I didn't have hardly any spots with my salt system. When speaking with the company I realized this system does not get rid of hard water spots as I thought. The company is a caring one and I was really impressed that they contacted me to explain how the system actually works. It does make the water nice and soft. They wanted to make up for my misunderstanding so sent me a new whole house water filter and a bag of resin to enable me to change my tank after 7 years! This is a company I trust and feel they will make good on their products. If I would have asked the correct questions I would have know hard water spots are almost impossible to get rid of completely and I would have still purchased this system. ... show more
