I took photos,but won’t bother to post them, the legs on this pergola are so that it WILL NOT stand up. The other reviews made reference to this but I had hoped it was resolved. Also had someone else come and check my assembly and they also said faulty design. I’m really disappointed. It only got one star because zero was not an option. It was simple enough to assemble. Bought this and used clampes to attach it to an outdoor shed. It works out great to put large outdoor items under it to keep them out of the direct sun. It is well made and I would defintely purchase it again.

    • Refreshingly solid canopy

At long last, something that feels well-made enough to stand up to anything more than a tiny sprinkle of rain! This canopy is made of all steel tubes, with surprisingly beefy bolts included. The thing goes together solidly, and while it is possible to assemble it with just the "tools" included in the box, having a 9/16 hex driver for your drill is a HUGE advantage. Otherwise, it includes a spare pair of bolts/washers/nuts and the legs even screw together vs. bolting, making it easier to raise up than I had expected. It is *just* wider than my arms are wide at its narrowest point, so once the top is assembled you really want to have either a friend to help you move it or the thing near its final installed position. The cover is suspended sort of like a trampoline in between the top frame, and the most encouraging aspect of this design is that it does not allow for water to pool when it rains, and hopefully (also due to the slanted design) it should shed water effectively. Overall I'm optimistic that this canopy will provide enough shelter from the elements so that we can enjoy a small portion of the patio during a storm, and also won't collect water and rip - which has been the downfall of many canopies prior. ... show more
