I had been searching for something like this for a while. My 5yo is too big for traditional infant type bike seats, but There are still times I want to bike without having to worry about her tiring quickly or going slow on her own bike. This works really well. There are similar products but most only fit mountain bikes, this product works well on my beach cruiser. I worried it would be hard to balance or pedal since she is a bigger kid but it was a comfortable ride for both of us. My thighs do rub against her hips while I pedal but it’s nothing uncomfortable. The install was a little confusing to me because the written instructions are not very detailed, but they have an instal video which was much easier. Once I understood how it attached it was very easy to put on, and would be simple to remove and replace as needed. Very happy with this purchase. This has given us extra freedom to bike further and it’s been a lot of fun. ... show more

This product is constructed of very high quality materials and the design is excellent. Allows your smaller child to ride up front where it is safer and depending on your bike frame size, is secured between your legs/knees as well. The handlebar allows for a range of grips and more importantly allows for a safety stop in the event of hard braking bc it will stop the forward motion of a child at the chest as well. Works with citibike like a charm. You will need the more expensive version and our toddler is 2.5 years old. He is very comfortable. It will NOT work with any ebike versions of citibike because the battery is in the way. Also not with the grey next gen versions. So you will have to put in thevwork yourself. ... show more

This seat was easy to install and is perfect for my toddler to ride on! I am on the shorter side, so I can just see over my sons head with his helmet on. But this seat is great if we want to go on a family bike ride and the little ones can't keep up! I'm a huge fan of front riding for little ones. My child previously rode on a Thule, that was mounted in front of the handlebars when he was smaller. Now that he is about 40 lbs and 42" tall, we needed a new front riding solution. This is so awesome. I was originally skeptical about the fit, but not anymore! At home, it is mounted on a 26" Schwinn cruiser style. I packed it on a trip to visit family and mounted it on a 24" mountain bike. Works great on both. A couple of caveats: - Your bike should be sized so that you can plant at least the balls of your feet on the ground on both sides for safety. There is no 'popping off the seat' at stops. - Forget clip in pedals. Same reason as above. If you need to stop, you better not be stuck in your pedals. - consider adjusting handlebars so that you are in an upright position and not bent forward. For me, this was just perfect, and we both love being able to chat along our casual ride. ... show more

We've only used this a handful of times but it had been very fun. It's nice to be able to talk to my son while we're riding. He's a big 2 1/2 year old so I don't think he'll for on it for much longer but it's great now. A bigger child might be hard to maneuver with.
