  • Excellent scooter and excellent value.
I was looking for a lightweight mobility scooter that didn't have huge heavy batteries. This scooter perfectly fit the bill. It was easy to assemble and fold up for transport. It's comfortable, easy to operate, and has a smooth ride. I had a problem with one of the batteries that came with the scooter and contacted the company. They sent me a new battery, so now I can be fully charged with both and go for an extended period of time. The scooter is very easy to steer. It has good acceleration. The batteries are very lightweight. Removing them and the extra parts that come with it make it much easier to load into the back of my car. I really like that. This gives me the chance to keep up with my friends while they're sightseeing, going to local festivals, and our county Fair which is huge. I have a friend who saw it in the back of my car and asked about it. She was surprised by the quality and the affordability of it. I have no hesitation in suggesting she buy one too. ... show more

  • Great scooter and awesome customer service!
I would love to give this mobility scooter TEN STARS. The scooter itself is worth five stars and the stellar customer service is worth another five stars! The gorgeous shiny blue color makes this scooter stand out from all the red and black scooters advertised. I shopped carefully, reading a lot of descriptions and reviews, because I didn't want to sacrifice quality for the color I liked. I'm totally pleased with my decision. It assembled relatively easily although I did have to have my grandson bring out his tools and complete the assembly. I'm delighted to have the little extra storage underneath the seat as it allows me to store the scooter cover, and other scooter-related items. I will only add the front basket when I need to because it just adds to the length of the stored scooter. I have very limited space so the width and length were very important and I can relatively easily ride this through my room. Although I can manually move it because it is rather light weight, I discovered how much easier it was to position it into its tight storage space when the key was turned on, using the lowest setting. I was relieved to discover how tight the turning radius was and how easily the scooter navigated the speed bumps. But it doesn't do well simply going up and over my door threshold or the small curb at the end of my sidewalk. I'm going to have to get some help figuring this out. But I'm feeling confident about how it handles out on the street; no difficulty at all stopping on a slight slope and not sliding backwards. The controls are very responsive. Now, for the second FIVE stars: customer service. It's been an unequaled experience with this company's customer service. I will say that the manual that came with the scooter is worthless. Greater than worthless, because it was written for a different model and the grammar and sentence structure was abysmal. BUT the phone number in the manual made all the difference. I was able to, without going through an extensive answering frustration, speak directly with someone who appears to know the product very well. He resolved my questions about whether the batteries were to be charged on the scooter (confusion caused by the manual being written for a previous model). They are to be charged independently. He also sent me the official documentation to present to the airline if I wish to fly with the scooter. He answered every question clearly. One more thing: This company keeps their word. Their website promised to price match any lower price within thirty days of purchase. They honored this and I was refunded for the price difference. ... show more

  • Good portable mobility scooter Good portable mobility scooter
Update: fits in the trunk with room to spare. I hope this helps someone if that's a deciding factor. I can lift it on my own, it is kinda heavy and awkward, but doable for me. The battery lasts a long time for how we use it, it sits a lot and it keeps a charge. Both batteries must be installed in order for it to run, I found that out when I took one out to charge it. I thought it would run with the one that was full, nope it wants both installed (even not charged). The main complaint is the turning radius isn't great and sometimes I've worried that it could tip, but it hasn't; when it gets uneven it's a little wonky. Overall I'm still happy with it. I got this mobility scooter for my mom and so far it's met my expectations. Overall I'm happy with it. It folds up easily and has plenty of power for my mom, the higher settings are too fast for her. She's about 220 pounds and this scooter doesn't have any trouble with her weight. It's heavy and awkward. I can lift it, but I don't think I could get it in my trunk by myself. My daughter helped me put it on the back of the truck. I have not tried to put it in the trunk of my car yet, but still think I can if I had to. The ability to wheel it around like luggage when transporting it is helpful. The turning radius isn't the best, I wouldn't recommend for tight spaces. My mom doesn't use it in the house, we got it for getting her out of the house. She tires easily and this allows her to go more places that don't have mobility carts. I wouldn't try taking her to a Dollar General or a restaurant with it, places that are tight on space. A large store, mall, flea market, walks, that's what we use it for. It faired okay at the flea market, it was uneven ground, gravel, rocks, she got stuck once maybe twice, but she was also making questionable driving choices and I don't blame it on the scooter. There is not a charging port on the scooter, you have to remove the battery to charge it. Not a big deal, but to save you some time, there's not one. The book indicates there is, but there's not. The battery lasts a long time from what I can tell. I haven't charged it since the initial charge yet and we still have the back up. We haven't done a lot, but for what we have used it for it's still in the green. It checks the boxes I wanted. Easy to fold, seems to be of good quality, and mom likes it. ... show more

  • Great Lightweight Scooter with a Few Tweaks Needed
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – The Aotedor AM985 was very easy to set up and much lighter than many scooters on the market, which I really appreciate. It moves smoothly and works well on roads, malls, and carpet. I love the large front basket — it’s easy to attach and remove (no lock button needed despite what the manual says). The smaller under-seat basket isn’t as sturdy, but it’s handy for heavier items. A few things could be improved: - The armrest is too short, and the backrest feels too low. - My unit came with one faulty battery that wouldn’t hold a charge, which caused some startup issues. It would be nice - if the batteries had clear markers to tell them apart. - The included dust cover is much too large. A fitted, elastic, weatherproof cover would be a great addition — especially for users who transport the scooter and need rain protection. Overall, I’m happy with the scooter’s smooth ride and portability, but I’d like to see improvements in battery labeling, seating comfort, and accessories. ... show more

  • Solid, powerful and still light weight Solid, powerful and still light weight
I was in need of a foldable, light weight power scooter that could handle the smaller hills in our area. This scooter by Aotedor has really fit the bill for us. The construction is very solid. The seat is comfortable, though we will add extra cushion when out bird watching for several hours at a time. Controls are easy to use. Having the extra battery if needed gives peace of mind. It folds easily and can be put in the back of the car by one person. I go on 10 degree hills often and it has plenty of power for it. We did have a problem with one battery not working, but the consumer service department was easy to work with. After some at home test, they agreed the battery was defective and sent out a replacement. I am very pleased with this scooter and the service of Aotedor company. I do recommend it to others. ... show more

  • Great product and Excellent customer service
This is an incredible scooter. It is very lightweight but has a solid build. It looks really good and has a decent turn radius. Folds down quickly and securely for transport. Love the dual quick change battery feature that allows you to keep going. Batteries last a long time. Comfortable seating with adequate legroom, and I am 5ft 11in. The assembly is easy. The removable basket, another great feature, and the armrests require assembly but both are very easy and quickly accomplished. Variable speed is also a great feature. It has lots of power. I used this through all of the National Parks and Monuments throughout the US and it has been amazing. Goes up and down some of the steepest inclines with ease. It operates very quietly. I was lucky to find it when there was an unbelievable discount offer. Had an issue with the basket mount and one of the batteries but this seller stand behind their products and provides excellent and prompt customer service. Something you rarely see these days. One call was all it took to get help. The friendly service rep was professional, friendly and very empathetic. Even after a year since purchase, they resolved my issues in less than 24 hours and are are shipping me the items I needed. I can't say enough about how I recommend this seller and this product! This is my go to seller for mobility products from now on! Wish I could give more stars!! ... show more

  • This scooter is everything I was looking for! Highly recommended. A fantastic product!
I'm one of those people that researches things to death when I decide I'm going to purchase something. When I decided I was going to buy a mobility scooter, I spent hours upon hours trying to figure out the right mobility scooter to purchase. I needed something lightweight, that had batteries I could lift and were easy to recharge, went fast enough, was easy to operate, and was comfortable to ride. This scooter is the bomb! It arrived quickly, and my husband assembled it quickly. There was one part we could not find, and we called customer service, who was super nice and who promptly shipped out a new part (we actually found the original part -- it had unknowingly fall out of the box when my husband was unpacking it (sorry for unnecessarily having you send a new part, but thanks for the amazing customer service!!!). Once he found the part, the assembly was very fast and easy. Anyway -- here's my total take on the scooter, itself: -It's very comfortable. You can change the angle of the steering stalk so it is at the right height and angle for your particular body. We marked the spot, so when we fold it up and unfold it, we can always put it in the same position quickly. One thing I noticed about this scooter that is different from most others is that there isn't a hole at the bottom of the back support, so if you want to use a lumbar roll, you can without it falling out. I haven't needed the roll, though, because the back is very supportive. The foot position is great, too. Many other scooters have one spot where you can put your feet, so if you have really long or really short legs (mine are long), you can't adjuster your seating position to accommodate your size. This scooter is different. It has a whole covered floor where you can move your feet to a comfortable position. -Turning radius. A criticism of most mobility scooters is how wide the turning radius is. This scooter has what I consider a pretty tight turning radius. I am able to get around corners easily, and through doorways without leaving a wide berth between me and the doorway in order to enter. -Ease of use. There really was no learning curve as far as figuring out how to use the controls. One paddle is forward, and the other is reverse. Each paddle can be pushed back to be used for the opposite function. And the speed can be changed with the turn of a dial, even while you're moving. If I find myself in a crowded room, I can lower the speed so I don't have to keep stopping and starting, and I can just go slow at a steady pace. And if I need to catch up to someone, I can turn the dial slightly until I'm at the correct speed. -Speed: This is a zippy little thing. I'm not going to win the Indy 500, but I can go faster than a general walking pace, so if I'm in a hurry, I can get somewhere faster, but not too fast that I feel like I'm going to hit something. And like I said above, I can change the speed quickly and easily, even when I'm moving. -Headlight: This makes me laugh -- my husband and I were on a "walk" around the neighborhood, and it started to get dark. I flipped on the headlight for the first time, and it practically lit up the street. Everyone can see me coming. :) -Batteries: These batteries are super light (2 pounds per battery), super small (they are flat and fit flush with the scooter under my feet), and long-lasting. Each battery lasts 11 miles, and only one battery gets used as a time (the one in back). There is a battery-life indicator dial on the controls that gives you a full accounting of how much power that battery has left. When it goes to empty, you just switch the two batteries, putting the full battery in back and the empty battery in front, and you can go another 11 miles. Having the batteries operate this way makes it easier to see how much power you really have left. If you're not going a distance, but moving small places in a set space for a long time, the batteries don't use much power. The batteries are also very easy to put in and out. You just lift the floor mat and grab the batteries, and they lift out. -Stability: I've been over uneven pavement, up and down inclines, and around tight corners, and I've never felt insecure or like I'm going to tip or buck, even at higher speeds. -Size: I was worried this might not fit in my car easily, but it folds up like a baby stroller. It's also not so heavy that it cannot be lifted. -Arm rests. The arm rests are easily moved down for use, up to get off of the scooter, or completely down if I don't want to use them. -Basket. It comes with a basket that easily clips on and off, holds quite a bit, and has a drawstring top if you want to secure your belongings. I mostly use it for my fold-up cane, but you could do some minor shopping with it, as well. Conclusion: My research completely paid off. This is exactly the scooter I had hoped it would be, and the price was well within my budget. I would not hesitate to recommend this scooter. We have ours "The Blue Bomber." Happy riding! ... show more
