Ordered this to test quality between this and my saturn that had a resin leak to see how off the saturn was. The mono 4 ultra has surprised me with the quality of prints easy to clean just would have preferred if it came pre installed with a screen protector. Assembly is simple and was already leveled. Prints faster than the saturn by a good bit but the build plate is shockingly small coming from a saturn.

I won't put you to sleep with too much jargon, here are the main reasons I like it: [EASY SETUP] It's as easy to set up as any bare bones resin printer. Tram the buildplate to the screen (the same thing you do with any resin printer, which is incorrectly called "leveling") and you're ready to print. After testing, resin exposure settings are almost identical to the Anycubic M5s Pro, you may even be able to knock off 0.2s of normal exposure time. So if you own that printer you'll have less settings that need twerking. It prints Cones of Calibration v3 perfectly, there is no Z-axis squishing. [LIGHTWEIGHT] The printer body and resin vat are made of plastic so it's a lightweight machine. The cover is tinted dark and feels like a big thin tupperware container, not the same as the sturdy M5s Pro cover for example. It can be disconcerting if coming from an all metal machine, but I haven't noticed any issues with the build quality. The aluminum buildplate has a cool etched design to improve grip on baselayers, and has ACF film installed to improve the release of normal layers. It's also feather-light, despite being slightly bigger than the one in the Elegoo Mars 3 it replaced. [QUIET OPERATION] I'm surprised that despite all the plastic this printer is one of the quietest I've used. Everything is taught and moves smoothly, giving the impression that it's going to work and everything is going to be okay. It's a huge difference compared to the previous Elegoo and AC printers I've used that always have some bit that rattles or grinds. [INTELLIGENT RELEASE IS AWESOME!] Basically this automatically adjusts the Lift Height on the fly, making sure the model detaches from the release film and then immediately lowers it again for the next layer. Depending on the model, this can save you a ton of time. It's not a bulletproof feature, sometimes it fails to detect the release force with viscous resins for example, but with some heating for those kind of resins it works as expected. As far as I know, Anycubic is the only company who adds this feature to their affordable range of printers. Other companies start adding it at like the $1000 mark. The printer also has some other new useful features found in current resin printers, like debris detection, tank clean, wifi, etc., but I don't use those. They can be turned off. I have some nags about the printer, but none of them are dealbreakers at the discounted prices. [EXTRA VATS ARE EXPENSIVE] The printer uses plastic resin vats but Anycubic charges $40 for them. Other companies charge that much for similar all metal ones. If you switch colors often, you absolutely need a few extras though. Also remember not to wrench down hard on the vat screws so you don't crack something. [USB PORT IS ON THE SIDE] This can make it tough to reach/plug the USB stick if you're using an enclosure. Consider a USB extender to move it to the front. [SCREEN PROTECTOR INCLUDED, BUT...] You don't have to use the included screen protector, personally I don't like them because there's always some obnoxious bubble or dirt that gets under there. There's no reason Anycubic themselves can't do this at the factory to save us the trouble. I suspect they know what a pain it is to install them cleanly so they don't want to bother with it. See, I'm just nagging now lol Almost every Anycubic printer I've used over the last 5 years has been defective in some way. Customer service ranges from helpful to making up excuses that don't make sense for the defects. This time though, I'm relieved that the Photon Mono 4 Ultra is one of the best I've used, and sets the bar for all others in this size and price range. This printer kicks butt. I love it. About 150 prints in and I still do not have all the DnD character I need. Even terrain looks good. I printed some gears and those worked in a project. Beautiful prints. I love the ease of wifi or Bluetooth. I can’t remember which one but I love that I can print from my phone. Prints are very high def and smooth. I have FDM printers from Bambu and this are amazing but not this high def. Love it

No one is going to be satisfied, this printer works really well easy to use and it's easy to set up to the Internet which makes it easy for cloud printing. I would recommend this printer for beginners it has the durability and it has great adhesion for prints.

The first unit I purchased was broken from the moment I pulled it out of the box. It was taking nearly 5 hours to print models with an estimated time of 20 minutes. Took several days to get a response from support, and when I did they expected me to dismantle the printer and replace the LCD. It took about a week of back and fourth with support to finally get them to agree to ship me a replacement. The replacement unit wasn't much better considering the vat was damaged and leaked onto the LCD screen on the very first print. Anycubic also doesn't specify that this model uses vat film assemblies and you can't just replace the film with FEP sheets you already have. So they agreed to send me a replacement assembly, which never arrived, so I purchased a whole new vat and film assemblies from the Anycubic website, only for the LCD screen to die on the day that they arrived. I wasted countless hours troubleshooting, and have over 100 emails with support, just for them to drag their feet when I decided that I'm done with this headache. They claimed I bought them from 3rd party despite having my order number, tracking, etc from the official website. Then they completely refused to offer a refund on the vat and film assemblies because they are a "consumable", then after explaining to half a dozen different support staff that I can't even use them because the LCD screen died, they offered a partial refund, and when I raised issue with that because I hadn't even opened the film assemblies yet, they finally agreed to a full refund. But wait there's more! Returning the second defective unit was nearly impossible. They kept asking me to wait for them to provide a return label, and I explained multiple times that my Amazon return window was still open, but I didn't have the first unit anymore, because I had already exchanged it. I didn't want to be accused of abusing the return process in some way so I waited and waited, just for them to finally tell me to return it through Amazon... The second unit only lasted a week, so I had it already packed up and waiting for a label, so I returned it the next day, January 10th if I remember correctly. THEN my return status limbo began. For over a week my return was accepted but the refund was pending. Eventually my status changed and I was supposed to be issued a refund on January 23rd. Well the 23rd came and went and when I checked my return status again the date was updated to February 3rd... I got sick of waiting and emailed Anycubic support yet again, just for them to tell me it's not their problem, and I need to contact Amazon. I will never buy another Anycubic anything ever again. Hope you have better luck if you decide to take a gamble on a printer from this manufacturer, and I hope you never have to deal with their support.
