  • Time/energy/water&veggie saver
The media could not be loaded. Works as it should, easy to assemble. The little filter that’s in the out line seemed to be clogged but once I hooked the line up directly to the panel, it works great! I tried other drip systems that have to hook up to a hose and manually turn on but still didn’t drip the same amount of water through more than 5 of the connection drippers it came with. I wish this had longer hose and cord so I could put it by a rain collector next to the garden that has full shade because the solar panel doesn’t reach and the sun from there. I have it next to my lettuce bed with 25gallon can I have water in so now it is in full sun which idk if that effects the plants when they get fed hot water but I’m going to build a little box out of fence pickets to try and shade it. I will probably purchase a few more so I can have different times and watering cycles for different plants then just hook hoses up to a multiple zone timer and run them to each station so it fills every station as frequently as they need it from the rain collector with cool fresh water. Hopefully it lasts a few years! I highly recommend this to anyone for functional ability and price I know my cucumber and watermelons are going to love it as much as I do 🤙🏼 ... show more

  • Antfraer Irrigation System Outdoor
This is the second water irrigation kit I have gotten from Amazon to help water my plant collection while I am on vacation. Compared to the other brand, this one is about $10 more expensive and covers the same amount of plants. The only difference I could really tell between them was the anti-siphon mechanism included in this unit but not the other. I'm not sure that is worth a $10 price difference so I would probably still pick the Zotika brand that I got instead. ... show more

  • Keeping our plants alive in the hot Texas summer
I purchased this to water our plants while on vacation and it worked like a champ. Although it was only meant to be a temporary thing while we were gone, I’ve keep it installed and it’s been working well, keeping all the plants alive in 100 degree Texas summer. If you plan out the tube runs well and can hide them within the foliage, it’s a great semi-permanent solution to help supplement watering if not take care of it completely. ... show more

  • The anti-siphon valve stops the flow of water
The installation process was a bit daunting, because the piping is very hard to fit onto the valves. If the valves were made a little bit better, I could have gotten finished so much quicker. Also, trying to fit the tubing onto the valves hurt my fingers. They just do not go on easily. That part was very disappointing to me. The anti-siphon valve is preventing the water from flowing throughout the tubing. I had to remove it in order for the unit to work correctly. Programming the timer was pretty simple. I like that it is solar powered. I am able to cut the tubing to the desired length in order to water multiple plants at a time. This will help keep my plants from drying out because I garden and containers . ... show more

  • Didn’t Work Well With Anti-Syphon Installed But Worked as Expected Without It
The media could not be loaded. This is the second, almost identical, outdoor irrigation drip system I have installed. It is an addition, not a replacement (I also have one for indoors). These can be a lifesaver during vacations if you have a garden or outdoor plants, or simply want a convenient way for daily watering, if you don’t mind the tubing. The new-to-me element with this one is the anti-siphon plug which should have prevented water from flowing when the pump wasn’t working (the water source will continue to drain after the pump turns off if the water level is higher than the plants) but it also prevented enough water from flowing during pumping so that some of the drippers were not getting water at all. Once I removed it, everything worked as expected. This is a simple system. It can be set to water for 2, 5, or 10 minutes every 12 or 24 hours. If you want it to water at 7am and 7pm, you must turn it on for the first time at 7am (i.e., you can’t set a specific time). It waters whether it has rained or not. You need a large source of water that rests below the level of your plants, or a way to string the tubing high above the pump to create resistance to siphoning so the water source isn’t drained after the pump has created a draw. You may be surprised how quickly your bucket of water can be drained by watering twice a day for a couple of minutes but it’s enough to keep a plant alive even at the most infrequent settings in my experience. Give yourself enough time to set everything up in advance of being away to see how it works in practice. For me, planning is key when it comes to assembling these since the tubing must be cut into a number of short pieces and I have trouble visualizing it without drawing it out on paper. Forty-five feet seems like a sufficient length of tubing, but I don’t want to waste any. Once cut, the tubing must be fitted to all the connectors which is a little difficult (they are tight fitting by design for no leaks) and time consuming. To make this easier, you can soak the tubing in hot water, but I found that putting the tubing in the sun while I worked in the shade is even better. Gloves are also recommended for gripping the tubing as you twist it onto the fittings; this can be hard on your fingers. For a full 15-drip system, you may need an hour or more for assembly. See my photo for an example diagram and video of the system without the anti-siphon plug. With the plug installed, the water bypassed some of the first drippers presumably due to lack of water pressure. I’m disappointed that the anti-siphon didn’t work, but the rest of the system performs well, so I would still recommend it if you can keep your water source bucket lower than your plants. ... show more
