  • Comfort, Support, Value
Size: Queen Style: 8" Foam
I've slept on this mattress over 3 years now and it's still supportive and comfortable, with no low spots. That says a lot for someone in their 60s and with lots of bad discs. I almost gave up trying to find the right mattress. It's the only one that filled the bill after trying adjustable air mattresses, hybrids, and more traditional ones including "hotel-quality" mattresses well north of $1,000. We never bothered with Tempurpedic because I easily get hot, and they are known for being that way. Not this one. This is not a soft or firm mattress. I consider this a medium mattress, slightly on the firm side. I can't speak for back or stomach sleepers, because I'm solely a side sleeper, but my wife likes it and we bought one for her mother who also likes hers. I recommend trying it out at least a week, especially if you're new to this type of mattress, before determining it doesn't work for you, even if it initially feels too soft or too firm. You can't beat the cost either. And it's nice that Amazon sells it directly in case you don't like it, eliminating the much of the hassle other sellers will put you through. ... show more

  • Weirdly comfortable
Size: King Style: 8" Foam
It's admittedly a bit early to review this mattress, having only slept on it for a week now. But I wanted to share my thoughts since I had initially purchased a Modway and returned it to get this mattress. First, I'll say this - Amazon tells you to give this up to 72 hours to fill up, so I actually called customer service to ask whether you really needed to wait that long. The answer is no - the mattress can fill out in as little as 2 hours (mine sure did), and even if it doesn't fill all the way right away, it doesn't hurt it if you sleep on it. So said the folks at Tuft & Needle. Second... This mattress does not immediately feel like the most comfortable thing in the world. The Modway I'd just returned was a memory foam mattress with a cooling gel pad, and when you got into it, it immediately felt super comfy. I could lay on my side and my back and both ways felt phenomenal. But when my wife slept on it, she sank WAY down. And she'd wake up with terrible back pain. So when I set up my new Nod mattress...and tested it out...it felt strangely rubbery. It didn't feel immediately soft OR firm (they say medium, and I suppose that's pretty much what it is). It also doesn't let you sink in - at all. With the memory foam mattress (Modway) I barely felt my wife moving on the other side. With this one, I do kind of feel it - but not as much as you would with an innerspring mattress. Laying on the mattress, again, it doesn't immediately feel like the most comfortable thing in the world, but both my wife and I have slept incredibly well on it. I wake up feeling refreshed, rested...and no pain for either of us! I sleep on both my back and my sides, in case you're a side/back sleeper & you're wondering... It also sleeps MUCH cooler than both my former innerspring mattress and the Modway, which supposedly has some sort of a cooling gel layer. With both of those, I woke up uncomfortably hot at least once or twice during the night. With this mattress, no such issue. So...older women rejoice! No more crazy night sweats on this thing. So...that's pretty much my experience so far. Here's a summary: GOOD STUFF: 1. don't feel your partner's movement as much as on an innerspring mattress, but do feel it a bit more than a memory foam mattress. 2. doesn't get hot - at all. No night sweats ladies! 3. wake up feeling refreshed, no aches & pains 4. can use it pretty much right away, within a couple of hours - no need to wait 72 hours NOT SO GOOD STUFF: 1. doesn't "feel" immediately comfy, especially if you're a side sleeper. Not sure how much that matters since my sleep quality has been amazing so far. 2. you do feel a LITTLE bit of your partner's movement on the bed...then again, my wife has not had to adjust as much on this mattress, so what little movement you would feel is reduced. Overall, I highly recommend this mattress so far. I'll update in a few months if anything changes. ... show more

  • Feeling Better than Ever! 4.5 ✨
Size: Queen Style: 10" Hybrid
My boyfriend and I were in desperate need of a new mattress. I struggle to call our previous sleeping situation a mattress. It was a highly overpriced king-sized 5" memory foam mattress that was way too soft and so thin, in some positions, I could feel the slats underneath. We are medium-sized sleepers- I'm 5'9" 176 lbs / He's 6'2" 170 lbs. We're primarily side-sleepers, tend to sleep hot, and were experiencing pretty noticeable back, hip, and shoulder pains coupled with brutal fatigue throughout the day. I did tons of research when looking for our new mattress. We prioritized Pressure Relief, Support, and an Affordable Price. We do not like the typical memory foam feel of sinking in sand but love a comfortable plush feel that contours to our body as we settle in. The Nod Hybrid has 2 inches of T+N Adaptive foam on top, 1 inch of slow recovery foam, a layer of 6-inch pocket coils, and a 1-inch base foam. My partner and I liked the idea of having the best of both worlds, so we decided on the Nod Hybrid for its claims of having a medium-soft feel with pressure-relieving support at an affordable price. After placing our order, it arrived in 2 days in a super heavy box (95lbs), which we had to carry up 3 flights of stairs because of contactless delivery. It is definitely a 2 person job handling this mattress! Once getting it out of the box and cutting the plastic, it took shape in a matter of seconds, expanding to its full 10" depth. We didn't find there to be any noticeable or offensive smell and I'd say the whole unboxing process took us about 20 mins. The first few nights sleeping on the mattress, I honestly thought it was a little on the firmer side. We had terrible body pains for the first couple days but I realized that was from bringing the package up the stairs- it's really heavy y'all. However, after about 3 days of breaking it in, we started to realize how magical this mattress really is! Pros: We've been sleeping on this mattress for 15 nights now and we couldn't feel better! No midday fatigue, no severe body aches, sleeping through the night. The 2 inches of T+N foam contours to our bodies within seconds of laying down. The 10-inch depth makes me feel like I'm floating when I get into bed. The individual wrapped coils also give this mattress excellent edge support, a friend and I sat on the edge and had a 2 hr conversation, never having to move or adjust to get comfortable! Its firm enough to support you when sitting up, yet soft enough to cradle your curves when laying down. It also feels great while laying on your back! The bed itself has a super aesthetically pleasing heathered gray textured cover that's soft and cozy to the touch. Plus, it's removable, perfect for washing away any spills or stains! Cons: We still sleep a little hot, it could be from the sheets or blankets but nonetheless my boyfriend still sweats a bit at night. Also, this mattress could seem firmer to lighter-weight sleepers (>150 lbs). And to mention it once again its pretty heavy, even once out the box, lifting the mattress is a doozy. Overall: I'm obsessed with this bed! We have noticed incredible changes in our energy levels and our ability to focus throughout the day. I have been more limber in my workouts. We work from home a lot and find ourselves gravitating to the bed periodically to get cozy while we work. We may invest in a pillow topper, just to add an inch more of plushness but overall, truly in love! We hope to have it for years, hoping it will get even better with time!
