This AC unit is great! It puts out tons of cold air even in a currently uninsulated building. I love that the window is still functional with it installed as well. Installation was straightforward and it runs much more quietly that the traditional window units. No rattling here! It did come a bit dinged up from shipping, but the seller helpfully gave a partial refund to mae up for it. The drain plug for condensation is located inside, so I plan to replace the plug with a hose run out the wall for ease of maintenance. ... show more

    • Drains ONLY from the inside! THIS SHOULD BE DISCLOSED IN THE MANUFACTURER’S PRODUCT DESCRIPTION.
I cannot believe that any window air conditioner would drain ONLY on the inside. This is not stated ANYWHERE in the product description. Right now, I have a very large bucket that fills up very quickly if it’s humid outside, so I have to make sure to empty it or the wood floor will be ruined…which means I can’t leave the house with the air conditioner running. This is not only a ridiculous design but, as I mentioned earlier, it’s NOT DISCLOSED anywhere in the product information. That’s just NOT right. I NEVER would have purchased this unit. I am definitely returning it…and what a pain that is to do with such a heavy purchase. PS if anyone who has this AC and knows how to drain it on the exterior of the house, PLEASE add it to your rating. (I do see some other people also mentioning interior drain only.) ***UPDATE: I called the telephone number on the manual (distributor/manufacturer)…they confirmed the AC only drains from the interior so you must continuously empty the very small internal tank as AC will shut off with a full tank— I admit I chose this unit too quickly. At the time I wrote the review, there were 56 reviews and 13 were ‘Vine’ customers. I generally take the 5-star Vine ratings with a grain of salt. ... show more

    • Perfect and conditioner for slide siding windows
This air conditioner works perfect with windows that slide sideways. You can purchase an adapter which covers up the area in the slots and still have complete access to your window. Easy to install fit perfectly. . It will take two people 2 install and uninstall it

It is a great idea for a small room, I purchased this for a sunroom. It fits great in the window. The U shape works great as the windows are closer to the floor, this sunroom was once a backporch. Prior to purchasing I did research the product, listening to many of the uploaded videos. One out of the many viewed stated that he liked the fact that the unit drained on the outside which was a perfect way for my windows. Now the sunroom is finished, the unit placed and discover the drain plug is on the inside and there's no clearance to place something for the water to drain into. Of course I can not find that video anymore. Way too much time has passed to return the unit, so I'm looking for a solution to enjoy my room recently finished with a unit that I haven't any ideas for to remedy the water drainage. Only one review since my purchase in the spring now says she uses a bucket under the unit to capture the water; I'm happy for her that she has the clearance to do so! ... show more
