Unfortunately it appears the sizing was not correct for my awning(too short) It caused the awning to crease and draw tight in the center when the 2' portion was rolled up with the awning. The screen seems well made, although the stakes are plastic. My problem is based how my awning is made, I can’t get it to feed into the channel. I have to bend the shade at almost a 90 degree angle to feed it in and due to the thickness of the material, it won’t feed. I had thought about using a pair of pliers to pull it in and along, but figured it might rip. Looks like I’ll have to buy some awning clips to attach the shade to if I want to use it. ... show more

Shade screen was super easy to install in 10 minutes. Product did not come with instructions, but watching a quick YouTube video for a similar RV shade screen was helpful since this is our first shade screen. Also helpful to unzip the screen and install the top part by itself into the awning slot and then zip the other piece on. Length of the screen installed covered the awing less about 6" on each side, so the screen provided great cover for shade. We have a 2018 Heartland 30" travel trailer and the 9' screen works well with the included stakes. The screen material seems durable like thick screening and held up like new after one use. The zipper makes it really convenient to use when camping. When the screen is unzipped, the installed top piece just rolls up with the awning. It rolled up smoothly with the awning when the awning was rolled in. Had some concern the zipper might mark the awning when rolled in the awning, but checked a few weeks later and no marks on the awning. The bottom screen folds easily to fit into the provided bag for storage. Looking forward to using the screen next camping season! ... show more

Size: Front Shade 8'x17'3"
I ordered the 8"x17'3" screen, which appears well made. We currently have our camper in the RV port for the winter, so I have yet to attach it. However, upon laying this out on the ground, I am impressed with the quality of the screen fabric. The seams around the screen are sewn well and appear to be strong. I especially like the two-foot section at the top with a zipper so that the screen can be quickly removed if the wind speed picks up too much. That two-foot section will remain attached to the awning roller and will retract with the awning. Also, I was concerned that the shade fabric would block our view, but I can see that won't be an issue. I'm not pleased with the stakes, but I always have metal stakes in the camper storage box, so that's not a problem. There is a distinct odor emanating from the screen, I assume from the manufacturing process, but after laying out in the sun on the grass for about half of a day, the smell had diminished quite a bit. In summary, here's what I like: *Screen is well-made PVC fabric with strong seams *I can see through it better than I thought I would *There is a two-foot section on the top that stays attached to the awning roller *Bungee cords are included *It has heavy-duty construction, yet it's not too heavy for one person to pick it up and carry *It meets NFPA 701 Flame retardant. You should know that does not mean it is fire-proof! *Fabric has UV blocker Here's what I don't care for: *The plastic stakes. They won't last and will probably break when pounding into the hard ground. *Foul odor emanated from the screen; however, it diminished after one-half day out in the sun. In conclusion, this awning screen is well-made and well-designed. The price is reasonable and well worth the investment for your future camping experience. Shade is a premium at most RV parks. With this shade screen, you'll be the envy of the camp. ... show more

This awning shade is great! The awning side of our camper receives direct sunlight in the mornings at our current seasonal campsite and it was almost impossible to sit outside and enjoy our morning coffee without being blinded by the sun rising over the trees. Not any more! This screen was very easy to install -- it took maybe 10 minutes to open it up, attach to the awning roller, and then stake into the ground. It was immediately obvious that it was blocking a significant amount of the wind as well as the sunlight. Some amount of sun makes it through the screen, but you definitely don't feel the heat of the sun nearly as much and I'm sure it's blocking a huge amount of the UV rays. You will see in my pictures that it does cast a slight shadow, but some amount of light still passes through the screen. It's perfect for us! The only negative thing I can say is that it came out of the package with a very strong chemical smell. It took a solid day or two of airing out for the smell to go away. Not a huge deal, but something worth noting if you are sensitive to smells. ... show more
